“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“Michelle created an inspired Landscape Plan for me, with a gorgeous sinuous stone path layout that fully delighted. She then empowered me in exercising my own creativity in executing the plan, as I had requested, guiding, providing resources, and educating patiently as needed. Her design sense is well-honed, her plant knowledge extensive. I particularly appreciate her knowledge of the fascinating plants of Australia and South Africa, so appropriate for our climate and need to be water-wise. Her services are well-priced, she's timely, and accessible for questions. She comes from a line of artisans, which is reflected in her quality of work. I've engaged a number of landscape professionals over many years and found the collaboration with Michelle to be bring happiness to me and my garden.”

“We had contacted several Diamond Certified landscape companies to have them give us an estimate for replacing our front lawn with low water, low maintenance landscaping. After leaving messages only one returned our call and that was a week later. After contacting Details Landscape Art the owner, Scott, responded immediately and made an appointment with us a couple of days after our phone conversation. After meeting with Scott and discussing our plans for replacing our lawn we felt that he really listened to what we were trying to accomplish and made some very helpful suggestions. He was courteous, enthusiastic, honest and helpful and was there every day until the job was completed. The finished landscaping project was as stunning as we had imagined. We are very happy with the results and the professionalism that Scott and his crew exhibited throughout the process. We highly recommend Details Landscape Art.”

“Jeff Kavanaugh designed and installed a zen-like, peace garden in the side area of our backyard. It is beautiful and achieves its purpose: aplace to contemplate life, relax the mind, and re-energise. The work was done very quickly (ovber a three-day period), while I was out of town.. My wife hired him to do it and we are both very pleased with my "surprise' on returning home. Excellent job!”
