“We have had Exterra do two projects for our home. First was landscaping the front and side of the house. This involved stone work, plantings and a pergola. We were thrilled with beautiful design and the craftsmanship of installation. The plantings have thrived and after 10 years all the work remains intact. Two years ago, we came back to Pete to have a patio put on the back of the house. This was all brick work and Pete's design was great and worked perfect with what was existing. We had some settling on the patio and Exterra was out immediately to fix it and it is great. We love the work Pete has done with design and the guys doing the install were wonderful. We whole heartedly recommend Exterra designs.”

“My husband and I hired Kyle to design and install a patio and fire pit with surrounding plants in our back yard. With an eye for detail and a unique creative ability, Kyle came up with a perfect design for us which complemented our house and deck. Kyle’s clear communication made the project flow seamlessly. We received an initial email detailing each step of the project. Each day he was on job site to monitor the progress and convey any additional information or changes as well as answer any of our questions. The crew was on time daily, worked tirelessly, answered our questions, and cleaned up the yard at the end of each day. The project was within our budget, completed on time and we absolutely love it.”

“We had our apron to the driveway and the front sidewalk and entrance done with pavers. We were happy to hear that polymeric sand was used so that weeds would not grow between the pavers. The grading of the sidewalk was excellent and there was no need to even have a step due to this. We loved the artistic look of the sidewalk. The entrance from the driveway is wider and gives it a more elegant look. The sidewalk has the pavers turned along the two edges for the border appearance. The finished project far exceeded our expectations. We plan to use Yorkville Hill for our patio and landscaping! We loved how Kyle contacted us whenever we had changes or questions and how he supervised his crew!”

“We first contacted Bob's landscaping a year ago when we were looking for design ideas for a specific landscaping project. Bob visited the property, listened to our needs and concerns (needed a deer resistant plan) and then created a beautiful design. The cost of his product and service was extremely fair and of high quality. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. Since then we have engaged Bob and his company for other projects and have had a similarly positive experience every time. This is a company you can trust. First class!”

“I cannot speak highly enough for this company, but more importantly for the owner Matt Ewert! We have done a few projects over the years with Matt and his attention to detail, commitment to excellent client service and dedication to maintaining the beauty and integrity of our landscaping is unmatched! He designed our dream yard ... which we are executing in budgeted stages and each stage has been completed perfectly. He is on time, on task and very upfront and honest about pricing and scope. If we had even the slightest issue with a planting or a question about horticulture, or the design, or weeding, or saving a tree (outside the scope of his work) he has always been quick to reply and so very helpful! We will continue to use Matt / Escapes indefinitely and would recommend him to anyone! Honesty, integrity and follow-through are key to the landscaping business... you can really TRUST Escapes!”

“Spirited Gardner Julia Bunn in 2014 helped us design and build a rain garden for our condo that successfully and beautifully diverts storm water into our front yard in Chicago. Julia clearly explained which native plants would do well in our shady, sandy spot, and she provided us a clear map for our new garden. On "dig day" she did an excellent job of corralling our volunteer crew to ensure we correctly dug our rain swale and planted our plants. Julia also provided guidance over the summer on routine care and on how to put our garden to bed for the winter. I'm looking forward to seeing our rain garden evolve as it matures over the years. Overall, hiring Julia has been one of the best investments our condo has made in the past decade.”

“I have had Outdoorscapes for 11 year doing weekly mowing, trimming , mulching and fall cleanup. They also did a retaining wall with stairs and a small patio. They arrive when they say and do excellent work. I hope to continue to employ them for many more years.”
