“We hired Greg to help us create a vision for the landscaping around our newly constructed home. He developed a design for us that took into account our budget and our ideas but most importantly, one that was based on his extensive knowledge of the plants in our area and his excellent sense of esthetics. We were fortunate enough to have built a 2200 square foot home on a twenty acre hilltop in central California with expansive views of oak and chaparral dotted rolling hills. We had no idea how to go from final grading to landscaping. Greg's vision was clear: Use native plants and drought tolerant Mediterranean plants that will make this site blend with what is all around us. He drew a design plan and worked with us to manifest it. Greg is professional, knowlegable and organized. He has offered ongoing help and consultation as we have moved forward with the plan. I recommend him without hesitation.”

“We have been working with Eric & his crew on several projects & everything he has done turned out great! He put in all our outdoor lighting covering 2 acres, hi lighting trees & special features - it is beautiful! Eric cleaned up work we had done by another landscaper & improved the drip system, replacing our lawn with plants, hard scape & a gas fire pit! Eric doesn't sell he simply does! Will always call for any future projects.”

“Our backyard was a moonscape for our dog to take advantage of. The hardscape was already layed out but there was much lacking in aesthetic and function. With a very calm demeanor, careful listening, and always an idea on hand, Gabriel helped us shape our back yard into the Shangra-La it is today. He was detail oriented, but kept the big picture in sight, he was always available to answer my questions or research my whims of ideas, and he was always aware to make sure I knew his time frames and potential expenditures of all facets of the project.”

“I would recommend NC Designs without hesitation. 2+ years ago we purchased a 50+ year old house that had its original landscaping( all rose bushes and white rock). Nicole Cook of NC Designs completely transformed both our front an back yards. She spent time figuring out what our needs would be and presented amazing ideas we would have never considered. Both the landscape and hardscape were completely transformed and we are thrilled. We have lost count how many times people drive or walk by and compliment us on the transformation, as well as take photos. Excellent work.”

“When we built a new house in Templeton, Madrone built the hardscape and planted the yard our architect designed, and has continued to maintain it. They have done an outstanding job, beginning with the artistic placement of boulders and the graceful arrangement of lighting. The garden has been growing in for about 6 months now (since spring of 2013), and it has been a continuing pleasure to see the succession of beautiful colors and the gradual filling in of beds. The few unsuccessful plants have been quickly replaced, and maintenance has been sensitive in making adjustments. We find the staff invariably responsive, knowledgeable, and generous with their time and advice. With Madrone’s help, we have also recently installed a rainwater catchment system; please feel free to contact us next year to see how it works out. SonjaSB@aol.com”

We gave them what ideas we had and there input on what would look good and where made it so easy to say" let us see what it looks like when your done" All the work was completed within 10 days and within our agreed budget.The whole experience was positive and it looks awesome!”
