“This review may sound like Joan is too good to be true (or that I’m a relative writing this!!!), but she really is an outstanding decorator and a PLEASURE to work with. I would highly recommend anyone to seek her services, and I will certainly use her again when it’s time to update my master bedroom. She’s a gem. From the very first appointment with her, I was impressed and excited about working with Joan. I needed to update my entire first floor. It had been almost 18 years since the last time I had decorated. Joan arrived, listened to what my needs were, I begged her for her honesty and then she tactfully looked at each room (kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, powder room and the office). Within the 2 hours that I was with her, she was able to make changes; including rearranging my current furniture in ways that NEVER occurred to me. It was amazing! I was so excited. Then we proceeded to talk about window treatments for all of the rooms. Again, she listened to my thoughts and then gave thorough advice to me. She knew all of the current trends, had beautiful fabric samples and had great ideas on how to update my home. Not only did she come up with creative window treatment ideas, but she advised me, and helped me choose paint colors for every room, as well as unique decorating ideas for each area. Based on her sound advice, I ordered all the window treatments for each room from Joan. She was well-organized and no detail was left in question. She quoted a time frame that the job would be completed and she was absolutely accurate in her appraisal. When the window treatments arrived, she stayed at my home while her installer hung them to make sure that everything was as she ordered. All I can say is that I LOVE what she designed. The window treatments were even better than I imagined. The cornices and drapes in the kitchen, the living room and dining room were perfectly made. The workroom that Joan uses did a fabulous, professional job with the creation of my window treatments. I honestly could not be happier. Not only do the drapes look gorgeous, but her selection of wall paint was spot on. Joan also advised me on other accent pieces my decor could use (light fixtures, lamps, other accessory furniture, pictures, etc.) Her insightful decorating ideas and suggestions were invaluable. One key characteristic about Joan that cannot be ignored is her easy going and downright likable personality. Even though she’s exceptionally talented, she didn’t have a know-it-all attitude. Joan carefully listened to her me, made suggestions, and wasn’t offended if my opinion differed from hers. (Although, truth be told, I can’t think of anything Joan suggested that I didn’t fully embrace!!) She was so patient, and honestly did everything she could to make me happy, and the process of my home's redecoration to run as smooth as possible. “Maria is absolutely amazing! She has such an amazing gift for decorating in different styles. When she sees a room it's already transformed in her mind and what she does is pure art! Your style may not be her personal style, but you would never know it, she is so great at seeing different looks she is truly gifted. Not only is she great at what she does, but I consider her a friend now! I love working with Maria and love that the person you are working so closely with for so much time, well that you can laugh and smile together too. “I recently moved into a new home, had large rooms and walls to fill and some existing furniture pieces that weren’t working for me. Karen of Creative Design Concepts Inc. helped me select new furniture, window treatments, redo some existing furniture and select a painting for that very large wall. She also suggested placing the existing furniture I had in other places.
