At our former house, she did a complete (and beautiful!) makeover of our master bedroom and a few changes (sofa, chair and mantel accessories) for our family room. When we decided to move and build a house in Charlotte, she helped us select paint colors, cabinet finishes and granite. When we were not able to find a vanity for our powder bath, she worked with a cabinet maker to design and custom build the perfect piece. She has also helped us with shutters. She is very talented. She and her team are a pleasure to work with. Her store is a treasure of beautiful pieces - but if she doesn't have it there, she'll find it for you. I will continue to rely on her expertise even though we are not as close as we once were.”

“We recently needed a total transformation done on our family room in a new house. It was very dated with dark mouldings and none of our existing furniture transitioned into the room comfortably. We hired Kara Cox Interioirs to do everything. Of course she met with us early on to get a feel for what we were looking for and what we were planning to do with the rest of the house so that in the end everything would flow; but she chose paint colors, furniture, fabrics, side tables, window treatments, original art pieces, and even staged our six massive built ins. Even though she presented us with multiple "options", we didn't need them. What she selected was spot on. Furthermore, she chose furniture and fabrics that were child and golden retriever friendly. Not only were we impressed with Kara's design work, but we we were equally impressed with her professionalism. We NEVER had to ask for an update on anything and for the things that we were responsible for (I.e. getting the room painted, the granite installed, and the lights wired) she made sure to send us reminders on when to complete what so that the install date would remain on schedule. Not only does our room look phenomenal but the furniture is functional AND comfortable. I do think that one of Kara Cox Interiors distinguishing factors is that she does amazing work AND she stays on budget. We were so pleased when we got our final invoice and the final numbers were exactly where she said they would be. I hope that she has enjoyed working with us as clients as much as we have enjoyed working with her because we still have a lot of work to be done in other rooms:)”
