“I have been working with Jennifer from The Old Painted Cottage since 2011. I had been a faithful blog reader (http://theoldpaintedcottage.com/) and admirer of her style for a long time before getting the courage to contact her to see if she would agree to a design consultation to help me revamp my living room. My husband and I had recently moved into a 1960's ranch - that still looked like it was from the 1960s! I was so frustrated with trying to "design" my house on a budget and getting nowhere – I desperately wanted and needed help. I kind of knew what I wanted to do and the styles I admired, but I had no idea whatsoever how to create it on a realistic budget in my own home. I hired Jennifer to teach me how to beautify my living room. And oh boy - I cannot say enough about how absolutely wonderful it was (and has been since then) to work with Jennifer! After sending her the dimensions of my living area and images of living rooms I loved (many of them here on Houzz), we scheduled and had a phone consultation and OH.MY.GOSH! Jennifer's energy, excitement, ability to translate what I wanted to the redesign of my space - and all within my budget - was incredible! One of the most amazing things about Jennifer is that she patiently taught me many interior design secrets that I never knew but have since been able to apply to my whole home (e.g., hanging drapes higher than the top of the window, displaying décor items in threes, adding pops of complementary color, etc.) Needless to say, it is 2014 and Jennifer has let me hire her to design almost every room in my house! Since 2011, I’ve had two babies and she helped me design both nurseries. Jennifer also helped me revamp my master bedroom, TV room, and the sunroom! Currently, we are doing a whole house consult on a little lake cabin my husband and I recently purchased. Overall, Jennifer is a consummate professional, her fees are ridiculously reasonable, and she is able to “get into a space” and transform it simply by looking at before photos. Jennifer is a gem! I could go on and on about Jennifer…(and I hope to meet her in person one day soon!)”

“I hired Neela to turn my small dark family room into a room my family wanted to use. Now it's the most used room in the house- after the kitchen, of course! Neela helped transform the room into the perfect family room for MY family. She listened to what I wanted, used family-friendly fabrics as I requested, and placed artistic touches throughout. Now it's a useable space- not just a beautiful space I don't want to touch as many "designed" rooms can be. My husband, son and I love the room. Now we're working in my dining room. After working with another designer (whose finished product I love but whose process I had problems with), I realize how Neela's organized, responsive process was crucial for me as a working mom.”

I moved into my new apartment and vowed I would only bring in furniture that I loved. And, believe me, everything Michelle helped me select, I LOVE! Their delivery was superb. The men were so professional and helpful and went above and beyond. I have referred many people to Michelle and they are ecstatic too. “We hired Barbara to work with us on the remodel design of our patio and kitchen. She helped us to convert our back yard, which consisted of grassy areas and a large fallow garden area to a beautiful outdoor space that includes a patio with complete amenities, "living room" area, dining area, gas grill, heaters, pergola and shades; along with a large garden area with raised beds. We then moved inside where she turned our old claustrophobic dysfunctional kitchen into a fantastic work space that supports all our needs. From the very first meeting with Barbara to the completion, she was a pleasure to work with. She focuses on getting to know the client and designing a space that supports who you are and how you live. We love the work she did for us. I have recommended her to friends or colleagues repeatedly since she did the work for us.”

“I recently hired KMW Interiors to stage a multi-million dollar listing of mine in the Hollywood Hills and the finished product was amazing! The home had many great attributes but a very challenging floor plan. KMW came up with some great solutions to address the inherent flaws and a design concepts that really softened the masculine finishes. The home now shows beautifully and has better flow.”
