She took a very plain rental place and turned it into a welcoming place of warmth and sophistication. I couldn't be more proud of the space and loved bringing friends and family in to enjoy it with me. My favourite space was the guest powder room... I didn't know it was even possible to make a powder room beautiful. But my favourite part of the overall designer experience would be the memories that were made around the kitchen enjoying feasts with friends and family which would never have happened without Jan's ability to create a beautiful family space. “Sascha LaFleur first worked with us to revise our main living space to better suit retired empty nesters still stuck with worn out furniture and 80's red/green decor scheme. We refaced the fireplace, bought new MCM furniture, and built around a favorite chair and artwork. We ended up with a light and beautiful room. We followed up with a front entry and downstairs hallway, main stairs, and upstairs hallway project, including 27' high wallpaper ! This year's project was the biggy: we tore out the 1993 tuscan kitchen with plaster walls and faux sky ceiling and dilapidated oak cabinets ... tore out the load bearing wall in our 1903 urban house to combine the kitchen with the underused dining room ... expanded sight lines and let in the sun ... installed walnut cabinets when looking south, re-installed some prior IKEA bright red cabinets when looking north, and white pantry cabinets to bounce light into the room. Glam glass tiles above the sink, SS penny tiles above the stove, white and copper quartz counters, layers of lighting, we got it all”

“I'm not sure where to start with this review. There were multiple projects over the course of COVID (a year and bit?). Friends and family (when COVID rules allowed it) made so many positive comments about the changes when they saw them. I kept coming back to Jacquie for additional work as every project kept on surpassing my expectations. - Front closet / mud room redesign. What started off as a simple question "How can I make this space more functional for two growing kids that like throwing their stuff around" transformed into something I hadn't contemplated. She designed a beautiful connected passage way between an enclosed mudroom (originally blocked off from the main entrance) and the front closet. Leveraging the space with custom shelving and a large in-set mirror really made the functionality of the space meet a modern design. She also added a matching custom laundry folding area as an added bonus! - Fixture revamp, custom shelving Felt like the main living room area needed a refresh. She designed some shelving space around the large fireplace, selected some gorgeous fixtures to turn the overall space into a cohesive country living' look which matched with the open concept kitchen. I don't think there's any better validation than when the ex-wife came to visit and commented on how great the house looks! - Central vac storage Having central vac is great, except for when it comes time to stuffing the hose out of sight (typically in that aforementioned closet from the previous project). Jacquie designed custom sliding barn doors to hide a newly created cavity in one of the walls in the hallway. Basically it looks like a double barn door enclosed space for the central vac. - Bedroom wall accent decor Custom designed and built an entire accent wall which really made the master bedroom pop. Looking forward to the second phase of the project which includes new crown, LED lighting to create a halo effect, custom storage areas in the closet area with a custom rolling ladder! I would definitely recommend this pro for any work.”

“We were looking for ways to update our son’s nursery into a toddler’s room but did not even know where to start. When Vanja saw the room for the first time she instantly came up with so many good solutions and ideas. Vanja had a very small budget to work with but the final outcome was amazing. The 3D design software that she uses is a great tool that helped us choose the paint colour and visualize the space. Vanja helped us with some DIY projects and included our son in the decorating process too. She helped him create all art pieces. He loves his new room and is very happy that all his masterpieces are displayed. We would highly recommend Vanja to anyone looking for talented and creative decorator.”

“I found Tanya Collins through Houzz. I interviewed 6 different designers and she just blew me away. She walked into my home, looked at my living/dining room and make immediate suggestions. I have lived happily with my furniture for the past 18 years but she redesigned my layout (on the spot) and made significantly better furniture layout choices. She helped me to rearrange everything. I was very doubtful at first, but I couldn't believe the difference her suggestions made. And that wasn't even the reason I had consulted with her! Tanya helped me to find a couch style which I liked (I'm very picky) and made suggestions that have completely altered how my rooms look. . In spite of the fact, I don't spend thousands and thousands on new purchases, Tanya treats my needs with as much interest and concern as a job which is worth much more. She has an incredible eye for detail, color, and textures.”
