“I worked with Carrie Moore to transform our master bedroom into a sanctuary. Her work originally caught my attention due to her years of experience in sustainable design and concern for health, wellness, and use of biophilic principles – a rare combination in residential interior design. After an initial visit to our house and thoughtful inquiry into our goals for the space, she provided a clear scope of work and estimate of her fees. The scope of work included a layout, idea board, color and product recommendations, and sourcing of products as needed. Carrie tuned into our aesthetic right away and gently challenged us to simplify the room to help accomplish our goals. She used some pieces that we already owned, found the art at an estate sale, ordered the bedding when it was on sale, and found a ‘look for less’ rug at a discount store. All of these efficiencies allowed us to invest in some designer lighting and in two custom bedside tables (that she designed) from a local metal artist. I especially appreciated that she seemed to have good relationships and good communication with all of the contractors that worked on the project – painters, window shade installer, metal artist, etc. This made the execution feel seamless. The project turned out beautifully - it is restful while being inspiring and highlights the nature outside our windows. We will work with Carrie again.”

“We recently needed a total transformation done on our family room in a new house. It was very dated with dark mouldings and none of our existing furniture transitioned into the room comfortably. We hired Kara Cox Interioirs to do everything. Of course she met with us early on to get a feel for what we were looking for and what we were planning to do with the rest of the house so that in the end everything would flow; but she chose paint colors, furniture, fabrics, side tables, window treatments, original art pieces, and even staged our six massive built ins. Even though she presented us with multiple "options", we didn't need them. What she selected was spot on. Furthermore, she chose furniture and fabrics that were child and golden retriever friendly. Not only were we impressed with Kara's design work, but we we were equally impressed with her professionalism. We NEVER had to ask for an update on anything and for the things that we were responsible for (I.e. getting the room painted, the granite installed, and the lights wired) she made sure to send us reminders on when to complete what so that the install date would remain on schedule. Not only does our room look phenomenal but the furniture is functional AND comfortable. I do think that one of Kara Cox Interiors distinguishing factors is that she does amazing work AND she stays on budget. We were so pleased when we got our final invoice and the final numbers were exactly where she said they would be. I hope that she has enjoyed working with us as clients as much as we have enjoyed working with her because we still have a lot of work to be done in other rooms:)”

“Jeremy is the consummate professional and is a pleasure to work with. Recently, I used PC for a high end green kitchen re-design in Charlotte NC. He had terrific ideas to keep the space energy efficient and environmentally friendly. He incorporated reclaimed/recycle material finishes throughout, ionized water filters, LED dimmable light fixtures, solar powered radiant heated tile floors and smart appliances backed by the Tesla Powerwall (home battery). His 3d renderings were instrumental in guiding the contractors through the bigger picture execution of our ideas. He has a good eye for well thought out functional design and consistently introduces sustainable materials and technologies. He's a terrific project coordinator displaying strong upfront planning and analysis as the foundation for our project moving forward. PC was able to pre-determine most facets of the project by constructing a 3d scene of the envisioned design prior to development to ensure that we understood one another, which I found very efficient and fascinating.
