Our work with Marisa started by hiring her to help us design the space - entry way, living room, kids play area, exercise room, laundry room, guest room - including tearing down and building new walls. She provided a thorough lay out and design recommendations, including two great built-in shelving units and a new tiled gas fireplace. Her color, fabric, carpet, tile choices were spot-on. When furniture items were outside our budget range, she came up with good lower cost alternatives. And she always has recommendations for contractors or stores to meet our needs. Marisa is fabulous - her expertise is well worth the cost!”

Stacey came out to do a consultation amidst our chaos of house projects and had no issues seeing right past those to make recommendations and plan for staging. Stacey came back another day to help stage and was flexible and understanding when our house still wasn’t in a perfect state. She helped rearrange furniture to fit the rooms best and decorated our house from top to bottom. I would love to keep all of the beautiful pieces that added such an amazing feel to our home. “We have been using Val's service for years. She designed our living room, family room, window treatment and most recently, our son's bedroom. We also consulted her on our new kitchen design. She is very to the point and tells you directly if your design idea is good or not. She takes your general design requirements and turns something amazing. I am a left brained engineer and most of the time I just couldn't visualize Val's artistic idea. Once all the pieces are finally put together, I am just amazed how good the final product is. “Janet Aurora of Decor and You took a huge hodge-podge basement full of cast-offs, under utilized antiques, builder grade/selection paint and zero personality and transformed it into a welcoming, warm, personable, fun and useable place. The basement now has a comfortable media viewing area, an area that can be used for projects, an attractive and much needed storage wall (with a service bar), conversation/reading nook for 4, two tables that can seat 16 for dinner, AND it can all be transformed into a party area (in which we comfortably hosted 47 people last weekend). She did an excellent job of incorporating my "memory pieces" (quilts, family furniture) with fresh new ideas, furniture, colors and patterns.....all within my budget. On top of it all, Janet was a blast to work with and even managed to pull my reluctant husband into the fray with her good humor and her ability to read people. This was not a "here is my plan, this is the way it will be" type of experience. I felt my input was carefully listened to. At the same time, I was told what might work better than some of my ideas and why. (And she was right...I guess that is why she is the professional!) Finally, the installers, painters, and construction people that she used were all top notch and friendly. An excellent experience, sort of sorry it is all over.”
