“Above and beyond is an understatement! We had little time for the huge task of staging our home, and Stacey was the best designer we could have asked to do the job. Stacey came out to do a consultation amidst our chaos of house projects and had no issues seeing right past those to make recommendations and plan for staging. Stacey came back another day to help stage and was flexible and understanding when our house still wasn’t in a perfect state. She helped rearrange furniture to fit the rooms best and decorated our house from top to bottom. I would love to keep all of the beautiful pieces that added such an amazing feel to our home. It is absolutely adorable, and I’m confident that we will gain interest in our house quickly with her staging skills. Stacey worked with our crazy schedule and was more than accommodating. She is a sweetheart and a professional. She truly loves what she does. I highly recommend Stacey for your interior design needs!”

“I hired Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors to create a new look for our den. We needed new furnishings, accessories, lighting, and a fresh coat of paint. We are a family of four and we needed a timeless space to relax after busy work and school days. To my surprise the project turned out better than expected. They provided the electrician to come and replace my old hanging chandelier. The painters were on time and clean. After proposing a sofa that I was not 100% sold on, I went against my feelings to let them piece the room together and I could not have been happier with the selections. Thanks again!”

“Working in Real Estate for almost 20 years allows most agents to build a trusted vendor list. A list that rarely adds new talent to the network. Kelly Marino Designs was no where near my radar when my listing in Alexandria came to be, but I will say this without a doubt... it was her level of expertise, professionalism, and tireless work ethic that got this home into the beautiful show piece it is today....and under contract within 3 days!! If you haven't heard of Kelly, don't worry, you will. If you haven't used her before, I urge you not to waste any more time and HIRE HER IMMEDIATELY...The results are there and proven! She is now a friend and trusted advisor. I am supremely confident that you'll feel the same way.”

“Where to begin with my comments about Cathleen Curtin, the positive side, or the negative… well, that’s easy! There is no negative, so here are the positives!! Having scaled down a good bit from a larger home, and now residing in my interesting apartment in Old Town, Alexandria, I needed to make improvements and changes that would make this small place my haven. It began with getting bids on a bathroom renovation. Having contacted other architectural services and builders in the area that I knew, I found that the recommendations (and the pricing) were all over the place, and I really couldn’t tell what they were going to do. I also felt that they were not listening to me regarding the need to connect the bedroom space and my master bathroom. From the minute I ran this idea by Cathleen, she “got me” and she listened to me and she responded quickly. Within a couple days of our first meeting, she was back to me with a clear and concise overview and pricing. I was impressed with her level of detail, as well as her efficiency. And, this impression never changed thru out what became a much bigger project. Where the others all were going to expand my bathroom and take away space from my bedroom, Cathleen Curtin was able to give me all that I wanted, AND MORE, in the same footprint – saving money, time and probably a lot of unknown issues in this old building. Her creative use of space and layout resulted in a bathroom that I absolutely love, and others marvel at. Once deciding to work with Ms. Curtin, I realized that I felt safe and comfortable to do more of what really needed to be done to my living space. She gave me that comfort. Having had some experience with such projects in the past, it was knowing that she was not only the Architect, but also the Project Manager, that gave me the confidence to take this on. Always available for questions, and always quick to find solutions to issues as they came along, she drove this project hard and fast, and with a fabulous outcome. The project included not only the master bathroom, but a new laundry room, leveling the floors in my bedroom, insulation where there was none, built in cabinetry that eliminated the need for furniture in the bedroom, re-doing of floors, adding hardwood floors where they did not exist, brilliant storage cabinets, new lighting thru out, a life changing gas fireplace, creative kitchen solutions that make me love cooking again, a very special powder room, and so much more. I am thrilled in my new space – and enjoy it more than I ever dreamed possible. Cathleen was a joy to work with, a consummate professional, a willing ear, a great production manager, and attended to each and every detail of the project. On site every day, often several times, staying ahead of all contractors with selections and materials, and kept me informed with clear and consistent communication. Running a busy enterprise, I needed this style of professional oversight, and feel that not only did she give me a wonderful new home to enjoy, she gave me great service and great value in a time that we often do not get what we expect. With Cathleen, I got more than I ever expected!”

“Janet Aurora of Decor and You took a huge hodge-podge basement full of cast-offs, under utilized antiques, builder grade/selection paint and zero personality and transformed it into a welcoming, warm, personable, fun and useable place. The basement now has a comfortable media viewing area, an area that can be used for projects, an attractive and much needed storage wall (with a service bar), conversation/reading nook for 4, two tables that can seat 16 for dinner, AND it can all be transformed into a party area (in which we comfortably hosted 47 people last weekend). She did an excellent job of incorporating my "memory pieces" (quilts, family furniture) with fresh new ideas, furniture, colors and patterns.....all within my budget. On top of it all, Janet was a blast to work with and even managed to pull my reluctant husband into the fray with her good humor and her ability to read people. This was not a "here is my plan, this is the way it will be" type of experience. I felt my input was carefully listened to. At the same time, I was told what might work better than some of my ideas and why. (And she was right...I guess that is why she is the professional!) Finally, the installers, painters, and construction people that she used were all top notch and friendly. An excellent experience, sort of sorry it is all over.”

“During a transition time between full time work and future retirement, Carl assisted me in selecting the perfect fabrics and furniture for two very different styles of living - from Washington, DC to the Arizona desert. We began our work in the winter of 2015 and it will continue through the completion of my home in January 2017 and I am sure beyond. Carl's attention to detail, listening skills, and professionalism have made our work fun and stress free. Thank you, Carl!”

“Oxana is one of the best interior designers I have had the pleasure to meet. She is reliable, efficient, and prompt. She reviewed our current layout, suggested cost efficient and tasteful updates, and implemented her recommendations seamlessly. Oxana is also a hands-on person who does not shy away from grabbing a paint brush and tackling a 3,750 square foot single family house. The colors she recommended have visibly enhanced and brightened our 28 year old home, resulting in a tasteful and modern appearance. I highly recommend OxanaKovalchukDesign, Inc. for interior design and decoration.”
