“I had the pleasure of working with Suzanne Hallam virtually for help with our sunroom addition at the cottage. She was amazing to work with and provided great insight, making me confident in pieces we were using, and really putting the whole thing together. She helped us with big picture ideas, as well as small details. She would give me an idea and then email examples by way of pictures. She really helped pull together the right colours and feel for the room so it would flow with the adjoining room in the existing cottage. We discussed flooring, lighting and fans, couches and chaise lounge (for a beautiful reading nook overlooking the lake) and more! It was an absolute pleasure having Suzanne on board!”

“Recently I purchased my first apartment with my boyfriend. Because I had never decorated my own place before I was very confused with colour choices and on what wall each colour should be on. Lori was beyond the most helpful, patient and knowledgeable interior decorate I have ever come across. She explained to me how the sun can come in at certain angles making the colour choices I picked looking very different than the colour samples. Because of her she made our apartment feel like a home rather than a stepping stone till our next place. I couldn’t have done it without her help!”

“We purchased a 60 year old home and hired Diana to assist with updating the inside of the home. She assisted with structural changes and colour and style selections. I was able to communicate to her the style that I wanted and she was able to make those visions come to life. For example, I wanted an open concept kitchen and she was able to determine where all the appliances and cabinets would be placed once the main kitchen wall was demolished. Her colour selections, tile styles and cabinet styles for all three washrooms and laundry room were perfect. She also respected my opinion. For example, I wasn't too enthusiastic about the colour selections for the wall surrounding the fireplace, Diana could sense that and immediately pulled out a different colour selection based on my feedback and I fell in love with the colours. She also gives honest feedback. She pointed out to me immediately if I was gravitating towards a selection that was a 'fad' and not 'timeless. I would definitely hire her again for future projects. I have absolutely no regrets about any of the decisions made, and that is 100% because we had Diana as our designer. Thank You.”

“Over the course of the Spring of 2013, Revi Mula of Monaco Interiors helped us to design and renovate our basement. Revi was very easy to work with, very professional, and was a good listener. I had strong ideas of my own, and Revi was willing to incorporate them into the overall design of our space. At each phase of construction, Revi would create her drawings and then consult with us about them. We had a large, unfinished and open space, to start with. Revi hired only the best, most highly-skilled tradesmen to do everything for us, from the ductwork to the framing, drywalling and painting, electrical work, flooring, and everything in between. Revi cares about her firm's reputation and she will only work with people who are honest, hardworking and trustworthy and who do the job properly, and in a timely manner. The work space was kept clean, which mattered to us. We ended up with a very pleasing design for a practical work/play area that feels spacious and bright, yet uses every inch of space in a functional way. We now have an extra 3-piece bath, a closet below stairs, a walk-in pantry, a work/studio area, a beautiful seating/sleeping area with gas fireplace, book shelves and big-screen tv, and a games area as well as a new furnace room. Revi respected our budget and found us beautiful materials and furnishings that suited our style. Her tradespeople are very conscientious and and clearly have a good working relationship with Revi. She oversaw the work and made home visits at regular intervals for consultations and to check on the work. She maintains the highest standards for workmanship and final product, and any small problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Revi returned my phone calls and emails promptly, so our communication was excellent. I know that if you want good results, you have to work with people who take real pride in their work, and that's exactly what you get with Monaco Interiors. I would not hesitate to give Monaco Interiors the highest recommendation and have already referred them to some friends. We had a wonderful experience with Monaco Interiors and I would be delighted to work with them in future, should we need any more work done.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with LDR Designs on multiple projects over the past 3 years. I would highly recommend Linda DeRuiter and LDR Deisgns to anyone needing a design firm for major projects and smaller design projects. In our previous home LDR Designs gutted our kitchen and main bathroom. The end result was well designed, beautiful and functional. Our most recent project was in our new home. LDR Designs gutted our basement, dug down, installed radiant heating, gutted the basement bathroom and laundry room and then finished with new storage, cabinets and lovely finishes throughout. “Jane is intuitive and clever, never cocky or snobby -she works with real people and budgets and the results are always spectacular. I'm an ex-coworker, I guess, I worked with Jane as the producer of her show, "Colour Confidential". We produced 26 episodes together. Jane was a dream to work with from a TV producing perspective, 'we' transformed over fifty rooms from bare bones to completely decorated- on extremely limited budgets! I LOVED that job -got a design 'fix' everyday! Jane is a colour expert and since the show finished she continues to amaze me with her excellent work with clients, the launch of her own furniture line and her tireless work at Home Shows and designing entire high end model homes for Ontario companies like Kylemore. Jane even won the Pinnacle award and 1st place in the Large Kitchen category at the NKBA Awards in 2011. I know I sound like a commercial but I'm really a big fan. She deserves the recognition and she won't blow her own horn!”
