“We are in the process of rebuilding a lake home, and Gallery Interiors and Rockford Kitchen Design are providing the interior design and cabinetry for our project. The design of our home began two years ago, and during this time, Mary Burns and her staff have done an exceptional job helping us put all of the elements together. We can't say enough about their high level of professionalism, expertise, patience, and customer service. This project easily ranks among one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever had, and we give a huge amount of that credit to Gallery Interiors.”

“I hesitated hiring any interior designer when one was recommended by our builder for design assistance on our new lake cottage currently under construction in Northern Michigan. I felt competent and capable of designing, decorating and furnishing this 3800 sq. ft. lake home on my own, as I had satisfactorily decorated our 5000 sq. ft. primary home, during the 90’s. But as we all know, times and tastes have changed! I soon learned that, although I vaguely knew the look and feel of the “Coastal Living” lake home I wanted, I wasn’t capable of achieving that style without professional help. I further realized that trying to design a vacation home from 860 miles away on the East Coast, would be much easier with the help of an on-site decorator who could conveniently measure prior to ordering (rather than guessing,) has working relationships with all the local sources and service providers, and understands how to marry form with function, for a stunningly beautiful look, but more importantly, for the comfortable, practical lifestyle we were seeking. So, we reluctantly agreed to tour the showcase lake home of designer Amy Darooge of Villa Décor in Grand Rapids, Mi.; and after the brief tour of her stunning home, I was hooked!! If she could make my home look anywhere near as lovely as hers, I knew we would be satisfied. My husband and I are so glad we chose to work with Amy Darooge of Villa Décor, as her pleasant, positive, collaborative demeanor and savvy professionalism has prevented us from making costly mistakes; more importantly, her advice has resulted in the realizing of our vision for our ‘dream home’ for our family. She carefully listens to our needs and educates us on the best way to meet them. She is very budget conscious and has a better handle on our builder’s budget- allocations, than we do! She advises us on where to save on “unnecessary” outlays, and where “splurging” on upgrades will have a greater return on investment over time. Her forte is certainly “Coastal Cottage Style,” but she seems thoroughly conversant across the spectrum of contemporary design styles. She helped me stay true to the style I wanted and has an uncanny knack for accessorizing in just the right, understated way. The net result has been to create a tranquil retreat that will function perfectly for our large, extended family. She advised us on closet and bath design, lighting, siding, furniture and accessories, paint choices, the whole spectrum of design choices. She is invariably on time, responds promptly to all calls and emails, and collaborating with her has negated any effects posed by the physical distance. She's just very easy to work with. Simply put, she has turned a potentially stressful experience into an enjoyable one. She has impeccable taste and has helped us execute our vision exactly as we had hoped. We highly recommend her without reservation. Mary T. New Jersey”

“I originally met Tiffany when she worked as a designer with a local furniture company. We were downsizing to a condo and wanted to start again with furniture and decor. She made the transition easier. I was very happy with the working relationship we had and have used her expertise on numerous projects since the initial one. I value her professional advice. She is my go to when my brain is clogged with details and I do not want to make any more decisions.... which seems to happen more as I get older. She helped me choose a color scheme for our whole condo as well as furniture placement and some of the extra decorating items. A good designer takes all the brain clogging details we store. She/he sorts them into "keep", "donate" and "dump". All I have to do is concentrate on the "keep" pile. It is very liberating and cheaper than a therapist. I am willing to add photos, but would seek her permission first, as I do not always do exactly what a designer would do, and she may not want certain choices displayed as having her stamp of approval. She charges by the hour or by the project.”

“Tammy did a great job with our Kitchen we love it!! The cabinet detail was difficult to explain all the extras and options, but she did a great job, making it simple, from the crown to the light rail, and coordinating the electrical layout with the electrician she was great!!”

“Lindsay re-designed our one bedroom apartment. She maximized 800 square feet (including living room office) sensibly and with a modest budget. She spent a lot of time learning about our style and was consistently accessible (SMS, email, video). Lindsay was never pretentious - always patient and friendly. Her sense of space and detail is unmatched; I jump at any chance to recommend her.”

“Lindsey came into our renovation project and saved us! We had been working with another designer that was not for us. When we met Lindsey she jumped in and hit the ground running. She understood our style and vision immediately and delivered more than I could even imagine. Prior to working with Knox J Design we were overwhelmed and not confident about our remodel. Then we met Lindsey and meeting with her every week about our renovation became the highlight of our week! She is so personal and down to earth. She works different than most designers, she works with any contracts, studios, furniture stores etc. She just seemed so much more flexible, as if each client she accommodates accordingly. This is a designer that found her passion and it shines through in every way. So Grateful!”

“After moving into my new home in an unfamiliar area, I was looking to work with someone who understood how I wanted my home to look along with my budget. I was so lucky to meet Dawn after initially working with a few other designers. She caught on immediately what I was looking to achieve and has since guided me towards my goal. Along with having a great eye for details, Dawn is sensitive to my budget. I love what she's suggested for my home.”
