“Kay helped me redecorate my living room. She has a great sense of style and was respectful of the budget. She saved me from making a lot of mistakes and was a joy to work with. Will use Kay again for my next project!”
Fuzzy Wuzzy Interiors, LLC
Universal Design in Los Alamos.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars30 September 2017
“The Fuzzy Wuzzy team did interior and exterior work for me. They listened carefully to my goals and desires, and interpreted them beautifully. They designed and created a water feature, found amazing outdoor architectural pots, and upgraded the interior garden. They selected stone and created a beautiful walkway in my yard. They handled major lighting changes in the house, which were elegant! They also expertly arranged each room to be pleasing to the eye, yet comfortable. I rent the house they worked on, so it wasn't just me who found their creative influence to be a huge plus. The reviews from renters prove the value and quality of their work.”
Deborah Anderson Interiors, LLC
Universal Design in Los Alamos.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars11 December 2015
“Deborah designed remodels for two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower/tub combo. She knew we were interested in updating our sons' bathrooms to make them more comfortable and functional for guests as well as being attractive. We decided on a theme for one (Swedish) and the other just sort of evolved. In both cases she came up with materials and designs to make the rooms interesting and lovely. She was happy to work with the elements we wanted to keep and with decor we already owned. Both rooms now have an individual character that reflects our own tastes.”
Designs by Portia
Universal Design in Los Alamos.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars25 January 2014
“The work that Portia does is spectacular. She does a wonderful job from start to finish. She can take the most ordinary space and visualize designs that you would never imagine. She takes her time to make sure her presentation is perfect, and then she makes it real. She is efficient and always meets her deadlines. After the the work that I have seen her do, I would trust her with any project I have as well as recommend her to anyone I know.”
Samuel Design Group

“Had a meeting at my home to discuss interior layout, living room couch and kitchen cabinet color. Lisa Samuel was energetic, professional and aware of my preferences.”
HVL Interiors LLC
Universal Design in Los Alamos.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 May 2013
“We moved from an East Coast Victorian row house to a Northern New Mexican-style adobe home in Santa Fe. HVL was able to blend two very different styles, letting us keep some of the old while embracing the colors and iconic touches of the Southwest. We were left with the best of both worlds, and we couldn't be happier with the HVL vision. They listened to us, were very easy to work with, and delivered everything on time or early.”
Coronado Paint & Decorating, Inc.

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars29 October 2020
“I have known Buddy and Irene for over 30 years and have watched Coronado Paint & Decorating grow into a tremendously successful local business. No one, absolutely no one, gives back to our community the way they continually do! Along with their excellent customer service and representation of some of the finest flooring, window coverings and paint, their involvement in the community was a major reason why I chose them for a recent re-carpeting job at Barker Realty. Their company standard is “under-promise and over-deliver,” and that’s definitely been the case in all my dealings with them. Buddy himself checked in ‘onsite’ regularly during the installation. You just don’t find that level of care, oversight and pride when purchasing with a big box store.”
Edy Keeler / Core Value Interiors

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars10 November 2014
“I had no experience in decorating, so when it came time to redesign my business office and home I decided to hire a professional. My business office is also my painting studio, and with my new high-end clientele it needed a big uplift that looked artistic and contemporary yet still functional. I tried a couple of designers before finding Edy. Edy was refreshing! She listened to my needs and preferences, came up with a great plan, organized it all so it was virtually stress-free, and completed it in stages so changes, when needed, could be made accordingly. I ended up with a beautiful home and contemporary art office and studio. I learned alot too because Edy was willing to talk me through ideas. I still enjoy working with Edy for new design situations that arise. I highly recommend Edy. I also highly recommend upgrading spaces. I feel so wonderful and newly inspired when I go to work or home now.”
The Vibe Design Company
Universal Design in Los Alamos.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars25 January 2021
“Jenny was unfailingly positive and full of creative ideas. And while she has her own clear sensibility, she quickly mastered my aesthetic and rarely presented an idea that I didn’t like. We started out working from a distance (I was in California) and her process for collaborating was simple and effective. I was impressed by her deep knowledge of the retail/wholesale space for relevant products. I started with nothing (this was a second home) and she helped me source EVERYTHING; dishware, plants, placemats, textiles, local Albuquerque fine art, vintage rugs, custom furniture, window coverings…everything. Jenny’s specialty is thrifting and vintage. The vintage and second-hand pieces she chose consistently make me smile. From a “Hollywood” 1970’s burlwood dresser to vintage cookbooks and an old National Geographic map of the Grand Canyon, these special items bring the energy of their prior lives into my home. I just love that. Jenny works best with a clear budget. We regularly discussed money and I felt very good that the choices that we made reflected my sense of value and fit my pocketbook. Jenny: •An expert at her craft •Full of ideas and vision •Flexible and intuitive •Fun to work with •A real professional (on budget, on time) My home has a special vibe all its own. I couldn’t have done it without her.”
