“We recently worked with Silvia for our redesign, remodel, and redecoration of our home. From the very start of our project, she helped us to feel comfortable in making all the right decisions. She is multitalented in many design and decorating fields. First, she was able to draw accurate designs from our combined ideas. Then she was able to coordinate those ideas in working blueprints with her architect. Then she stayed on the worksite, making sure that the contractor followed every step correctly. Finally, she helped us to purchase and set up all the furnishings to complement the new designs. We would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to turn their new or previously lived -in house into a dream home.”

“We hired Tokan construction to complete repairs in our living room after water damage. After restoration was complete, Shawn came in and provided us a very fair and reasonable quote for the work. Heather (his wife and partner in business) helped us navigate all aspects of the operations including signing a contract, working with our insurance company (upon request), and even helping us to choose paint colors and design aspects. The work was completed (reframing, baseboards, sanding, painting) and far exceeded our expectations! We are already working with the Tokan’s on our next home project of completing our exterior paint. So pleased with this duo and highly recommend on any home construction or design job.”

They were successful in creating plans to meet our needs as well as introducing us to new, innovative ideas which we incorporated into the design. As the work continued the Debowsky Design Group worked along with our GC in selecting materials that we love. The entire process went according to schedule and we are enjoying our "new kitchen and bathroom!" We greatly appreciate their attention to detail and personal taste in their suggestions. “Mike Maloney is a true creative in his approach to design. I purchased a dingy, outdated 80's townhouse that had all the worst features of the era...a claustrophobic kitchen with an ugly soffit, an enclosed dark room on the first floor, a totally beige master bath, guest bath and powder room. The walls were covered in a thick nasty knockdown and the floors were Saltillo tile. Overall the place was very dark, despite a skylight and a wall of windows facing a wide canal and a mangrove island. Mike came in and came up with a plan. He completely redesigned the kitchen and opened up a couple of walls, one of them load bearing. From there he ripped out the master bath, removing a tub to make a huge double shower done in Ming marble and woven glass tile. The results are astonishing. The townhouse is bright, open and beautiful. Not only is Mike a talented designer, he's also a project manager. He got bids from contractors, we picked one, and he worked closely with that contractor to make sure the design was perfectly realized.”
