“Kara and my design team at The Design Firm were excellent. I appreciated all the hard work put in by everyone and I was very impressed by the extent they took to take care of our liking. Even when a few things did not work out, replacing the accessories was no problem. I am so so happy with the end result (especially the large painting). “I can’t say enough about Alison’s dedication to her clients. She goes above and beyond and in this industry, that’s what you need. I am a local builder in the Houston/Galveston area and I hire Alison for the majority of my spec and customs homes. I also hire her for our commercial projects and she is the designer for all of our remodels. It’s comforting to know that when we bring her on a job, she’s going to make our clients feel safe and comfortable all while attending to their needs and questions. Attention to detail is her top priority and that makes my job so much easier. She is a breeze to work with and our collaborations always turn out incredible! “JoJo helped me select furniture for my formal living space. There were several things I wanted--a place for books and a desk, as well as seating. I was very happy with the way she helped me divide up the long room. She offered us 3 furniture options, and we picked the one that best matched our style. There was absolutely no pressure, but she did help us move the project forward and saved us time furniture shopping. If we'd tried to do it on our own, it would have taken ages, and we just don't have that kind of time, AND we would have ended up with furniture that would quickly look dated. The look she gave us was midcentury modern, and it goes great with our home. We are extremely happy with the final product and with her reasonable rates. There were no surprise expenses. We understood the costs at every step of the way, and JoJo kept everything within the budget and offered affordable options at every step.”

“Extremely trained eye excellent taste for furniture & accessory but the part that i really like & admire with her is choise & association of colors with faux finishing,She's not one of those "beigey" decorator & for me it's a pleasure to work with someone who knows colors & not afraid to use them! i collaborated in many project with Sayree gooch; & with no exception the client was very happy each time & why they wouldn't be, what sayree charges her clients for A job @ this level is much cheaper than many other decorator that i worked with in houston.”

“Missy is a color genius--I recently purchased a highly contemporary town house in North Montrose which, as expected, was very stark, edgy and white. Although the majority of my rooms remain this way (by design), I did need to add some interest in certain rooms using color whilst co-ordinating with the remainder of my contemporary furniture. Missy assisted me with color advice and selection in four separate areas: my bedroom, dining room, powder room, and office. In all cases, she spent a significant amount of time with me to understand my personality, and then assisted me with color selection, including gently guiding me (effectively by "giving me permission") to go with my personality and select a more "out there" color than I originally was thinking about. For my personality, she realized that I would feel most comfortable with a funky chocolate brown (one wall in dining area), funky orange (powder room), citriline (office), and a very muted gray/brown (master bedroom and bathroom). I am extremely pleased that she gently guided me in this direction, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Thank you Missy!”

“Miralia Design Group did an incredible job. Laura Miralia provided all aspects of the design for us to take the wall down between our dining room and kitchen. She then completely resigned our kitchen, selected cabinet design, paint colors, lighting and countertops. The remodel was extensive and Laura was there for us through all phases. Our contractors were able to follow the her design prints with ease. I was particularly pleased with how well Laura listened to us and then provided us with good reasons why or why not we needed to do certain things. Laura worked within our budget. We love the finished product and will use Miralia Design Group again without hesitation.”

“Isabel loves to cook and it really shows when she designs a kitchen! She is full of very useful tips to make it practical in its daily use as well as stunning in its looks. Our case was particularly challenging because the room had an odd, non-rectangular shape. Isabel took all measurements and checked them over and over again to make sure she had the right shape. My wife and I put a lot of thoughts on finding an island shape that would flow with the rest of the room and couldn’t come up with a satisfying idea. When Isabel presented us her design, we immediately loved it. We knew straight off that it was how the island was meant to be! She was also very proactive in solving the challenges faced along the way by the general contractor and made sure everything was in line with the approved design. We now enjoy a 5-star chef kitchen every day and it is where we are spending most of our time when at the house. We remodeled 4 kitchens in the past 20 years and the one done by Isabel is by far the best work of all. I highly recommend her and strongly intend to use her services again for any work I have to do in the future!”

“Pamela has helped us with several projects over the last 7 years. This particular project involved remodeling a den and powder room. Pamela helped us choose fabrics to recover our furniture, art work for the walls, a large area rug, and paint colors for both rooms. She also provided some great suggestions for improving the functionality of our furniture such as increasing the height of our couch and chair by adding taller feet. The results were great and we love the fresh comfortable feel of the room. As always, thanks so much, Pamela!”
