“We didn't know what to expect when hiring an independent interior designer, but all I can say is WOW! We had previously engaged interior designers at Ethan Allen, but I hazard to guess that they would never have been able to create the look Melinda gave my son's room -- which so aptly reflects his personality. She really took the time to understand what my son liked and didn't like. Since she has sons of her own, she was very good relating to a 16 year old. Her creativity is just... WOW. In addition to selecting everything from furniture, window treatments, ceiling fan, lamps, to duvet and pillows, she chose paint colors for my son's room (hints of lavender) that I would never have even imagined. Orange and purple?? Who would have thought! We are all very jealous of the originality and togetherness of his room. And, she worked with my budget. I didn't have to feel uncomfortable expressing what I could and couldn't afford. For instance, she gave us a budget for painting, and then we determined that we would paint ourselves to save cost. If you an an appreciator of good taste, but have difficulty creating the vision like me, then I would use Melinda in a heartbeat!!! I'm looking forward to working with Melinda in the future.”

“I hired the Decor Coach to help me rearrange and come up with a design for my master bedroom. I felt my room was awkwardly shaped and my furniture was big for my room. After I contacted Jodi, the decor coach she sent me a questionnaire to fill out before the session and also guided me to this website for inspiration. She arrived right on time and I gave her a very quick look at other rooms in my house so she could get a feel for what I like. She made gave me a checklist of things to do that would help me be organized and not overwhelmed by my designing task. We discussed in depth about the order in which things should be done and how to implement the list when designing my room. We skimmed though websites, photos on her ipad, paint swatches she brought as well as some fabric swatches. She help me pinpoint my style and taught me the importance of knowing it in regards to shopping. She came up with a couple of ideas on how to place my furniture and even sketched a layout for me. I gained a lot of knowledge in a 3 hour session. I'd hire her again anytime and would definitely recommend her to others. Jodi certainly loves what she does and it shows through her professionalism and delightful personality. By the end of the session she had learned by style and pointed me in the direction of stores that would fit my needs. Overall I had a wonderful experience.”
