Golden Butterfly Home Transformations

“As soon as I moved into my new apartment, I realized that it was going to take some work to transform it into a really comfortable and livable space. The challenges: 1) The apartment was old, dingy and a little run down. The space itself is unusual and includes sloped ceilings, strange angles, and architectural features, like a brick chimney and skylights, that I wanted to feature. I needed to fix the areas that needed love and highlight the space in the best way possible. 2) It's a studio apartment. How was I going to arrange my things in a way that was both practical and aesthetically pleasing? I needed to make a space that had distinct "rooms" but still felt open. 3) I have chronic migraines and light sensitivity. How was I going to light my space in a way that allowed me to see but didn't cause pain? What could I do to make a comfortable space for days when I was stuck inside? Were there any ways that my living space could actually work to help MANAGE my migraines or decrease duration? The solutions: Becky listened to all of my challenges and worked hard to understand my personal style. She chose paint colours that fit my industrial style but were also soothing for my eyes and brain during a migraine attack. She suggested ways to arrange my furniture and rethink my use of space. She used my existing lighting in an effective way to light my space without causing pain and to create drapery that would filter sunlight into a colour spectrum that I could handle. (Especially challenging with the skylight.) She consistently found practical AND cool solutions to my needs. She worked with me to make changes a little at a time in ways that worked with my budget and my schedule. We still have planned projects to continue adding to the look and function of the space. (For example, further innovative lighting features and my dream coffee table.) I have every confidence that Becky will always have interesting suggestions/solutions for any needs that might arise in the future. The cosmetic changes to my kitchen, bathroom, and main space were completely transformative. My home went from dingy and unworkable to comfortable, cool, and "me." I'm so lucky to have found such a talented and creative person to help me create my dream space.”

“Working with residential condominiums can be challenging. Design and quality have to take many considerations into account. Durability, high traffic, design appealing to many tastes and maintenance to name but a few. Combine these considerations with the challenge of keeping the appeal of a "home", with the warmth and welcome expected in any residence and it becomes easy to understand how signficant the successful completion of a design project is. I have had the pleasure of using and working with Re-Vital-Eyes Interiors on three major projects and now begun on our fourth. Although all have been well recieved and positively commented on, the complete reno of a party room is what has really stood out. We have received many many positive comments, from residents, guests, real estate agents and their clients on the appearance and design of the room. This significant project proceeded on schedule, professionally and on budget and has without a doubt helped in increasing the marketability and value of our 344 suites. A great service to our condo owners! Peter M. Rosa, RCM Property Manager Brookfield Residential Services Ltd.”
