“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Having now worked with Kim over the course of several months I cannot say enough of how awesome it has been to work with her. Kim is attentive, detailed, highly professional, flexible, reasonable, and mostly and AMAZING designer!! She started by asking us lots of questions to get an idea of what we liked; styles, colors, etc. From there we moved to wall colors and room color palettes. Lastly, we moved to the furnishings for each room. During each step Kim made sure we were happy with the decisions we made, especially the wall colors. Kim is extremely efficient and helpful. She works with your schedule and always has a plan B! We are beyond thrilled in having chosen to work with Kim! We will be working with her again when we start finishing our basement and I can’t wait!”

Martine was enjoyable to work with, she is an excellent visionary and helped us create a beautiful space in which we could optimize our view and create a comfortable flow in our living room / kitchen. “Ellen Kilroy at Ethan Allen in Danbury has been my sales person for the last 12 years. She is friendly and very knowledgeable and has helped me chose my dining room set, area rug and silhouette shades for my dining room, a couch, chairs and area rug for my living room, and most recently a sofa bed and a plantation shutter for my den. She is excellent at choosing fabrics. When she couldn't reupholster a chair at Ethan Allen, she referred me to an upholstery store that did an excellent job. I respect her and highly recommend her. I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”
