“We were incredibly lucky to work with Jonathan from Metropolis Drafting and Construction on a big kitchen remodel and HVAC system replacement on our home. We had walls taken down/moved, old cabinets and counters removed, new cabinets, counters, backsplash, and lighting installed. The design turned a small kitchen into a large spacious one that has been perfect for our family. In summary, I highly recommend them for their background in design, attention to detail, and ability to complete the work on schedule and within budget. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Jonathan was extremely responsive, attentive, and detail oriented from the time I contacted him until the job was complete (and beyond). One unique aspect of working with Jonathan over other contractors I spoke with was that he had a background that enabled him to help with the design and aesthetics. He generated 3D models to help visualize different things we could do with the space, and we ended up choosing something different (and much better) than what I originally envisioned. Jonathan was also very patient with my indecisiveness and helped in choosing cabinets, countertops, and backsplash, kindly steering me away from things that would not look good. The remodel was completed in the timeframe promised and within our budget. Added costs from the original quote were minimal and only due to small things that couldn’t be determined before beginning construction. I was prepared for the job to take longer than estimated based on others experience, but the sub-contractors were always here when Jonathan said they would be and work was always done on schedule, if not sooner. The sub-contractors all did a fantastic, professional job and were very friendly. Jonathan also provided great recommendations for cabinets, counters, and backsplash. It seems that Jonathan has carefully chosen a great group of people to work with. I highly recommend Metropolis Drafting and Construction for any project, and they will be the first I call for any future jobs around my home.”

“I had my kitchen and bathroom renovated, the tile floor replaced, and the ceiling and walls smoothed out and repainted in my small one-bedroom condo. My project manager, Samuel, was very personable and easy to work with throughout. I went with Spazio because they were there to handle every detail of the work -- the demo, the plumbing, the electrical, the cabinetry, the painting, and all small tasks in between -- for a rather reasonable rate. Samuel even worked with me to pick out all the new appliances and fixtures, and made sure someone would be there to oversee the deliveries and installations. The only hiccups I ran into during the project were an underestimation from Spazio on just how much debris and damage there would be in doing renovations in such a small, fully-furnished space where coverings and dropcloths weren't always efficiently employed because everything got moved around so much (I would recommend to other homeowners that they move their things into storage); there was some frustrating miscommunication about when I would have a functional bathroom again that caused me to ring up a lot larger hotel expense than I had budgeted for; and once the majority of the work was complete, it took some time to get all the rest of the little things finished. I also ran into an issue with the city building inspector that took weeks to hammer out, but fortunately Spazio handled all of the back-and-forth. And when the city inexplicably refused to permit my replacement tub, Samuel's team immediately got to work constructing a great-looking shower stall instead, so they know how to roll with the inevitable complications that can occur during a job. Ultimately, the craftsmanship that Spazio employs is top-notch. Whenever I had issues with something, they were sufficiently addressed. And above all, Samuel was accommodating, upbeat and easy to work with. The kitchen and bathroom I wound up with are so much nicer than what I started with!”
