“We came to Circle Design Studio with a dream that was bigger than a floor plan. We are building our forever home — a lakeside retreat we've named "Selah," a Hebrew word meaning to pause, reflect, and rest. We wanted a place where our five adult children and grandchildren would gather every summer, where friends would come for long weekends, and where we hope to welcome people seeking spiritual rest and renewal. That's a lot to ask of a design team. John and his team delivered beyond what we imagined. We arrived with ideas and inspiration but real uncertainty about how to bring it all together on a sloped lake lot. Circle Design Studio took us from confusion to confidence. From the very first conversation, they listened to what this home was meant to be, not just what it was meant to look like. The result reflects it at every turn — the breathtaking entrance that opens to the lake, the kitchen designed to be the hub of family life, and the great room that flows to the deck. Their detailed 3D renderings brought everything to life in a way we didn't expect. We could not only see the home — we could feel it. We found ourselves walking through the rooms in our imagination, picturing our family around the kitchen island, our grandchildren on the deck, and quiet mornings with coffee looking out over the lake. The design stopped being a drawing and became a story we couldn't wait to live.”

“We had a fantastic experience working with Matt and Julie on our home renovation and addition project. From our initial meetings, the team helped us clearly define the project scope, which involved expanding our living space and reconfiguring the entire house for better function. We truly valued the collaborative process of translating our family's needs into a practical, beautiful design. We were most impressed with their ability to seamlessly incorporate a large addition into the existing structure. The finished design successfully added significant square footage while maintaining the original character of the home—it’s virtually unnoticeable from the street. The result is a house where every new and old space flows together, greatly improving the overall usability and function of our home. The design also accounted for the construction process and was mindful for the ease of build and cost considerations. “My wife and I began trying for our first baby while on our 3-year anniversary in Venice, Italy years ago.
