“I found Furniture Restyler from one of my neighbors. What an amazing resource Gina Wilson is! I have a few projects that she has worked on for me and gave me great, thoughtful, and well-designed solutions that I could afford. One particular piece was an old wardrobe that I inherited (I must say I hated it...) and she made it into something I actually love and will feel good passing down myself. She not only redesigned it with better doors, but she handled finding a craftsman to execute the design (I paid her to just do it for me...) and delivered it in 3 weeks! Gina is a great product designer in her own right and knows woodworking inside out. What a gem to have her in the Triangle area; she gets 5-stars from our household!”

“TwentyOne7 continues to provide excellent customer service and fabrics at impeccable prices. We have been working with them for 15 months now, and couldn't be more pleased with their professional, timely service. In fact, we stopped working with all other vendors because they treated us so well and their customer service is simply unrivaled- we're spoiled and nobody else compares! We look forward to future projects and working with such a great group of people at TwentyOne7!”

“Rebecca was fabulous to work with. We really did not know where to start and had lots of ideas floating around. She was patient and thoughtful and took the time to come to our house, evaluate the furniture and furnishings we had and then come up with a plan we loved and felt fit us. She was practical, creative, fun - she has a great personality - and we never felt like she was trying to pressure us or "up sell" us into any decision. As new items or fabrics came in, she gave us more options and helped us narrow down the best one for our family. We love our house and our furniture! I never would have believed we could accomplish this since we were so uncertain about how to start. We ended up doing several rooms and she helped us make the most of what we had already. We would definitely use her again.”

“We commissioned David to build a farmhouse table and bench. We wanted something unique, substantial and beautiful and that's just what our counter-height kitchen table turned out to be. David and his company are down to earth and take pride in their work. Under the Table Company delivered a high quality, heirloom piece that we will cherish for many years to come. I would highly recommend David and Under the Table Company for your next furniture project.”

“My husband and I recently worked with Jim Contini from Ethan Allen to redocorate our living room & dining room, for what we refer to our “last hurrah”. Jim came to our home, took measurements and listened to what we wanted. He carefully listened to our thoughts on color, look and comfort for our small living space always trying best to uncover our dream look...he nailed it! We are now awaiting our furniture delivery, new curtains will be installed next week and rugs to complete our look. The finished product will be the version Jim designed, his suggestions hit on every element and we couldn’t have gotten to the finish line without his help. It’s been a great experience and we highly recommend Jim to help you find your way. Sincerely, Cathy & Matt Prost Menands, NY”
Refab Wood, LLC

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars9 June 2017
“We were disappointed to find that NC ('the furniture capital of the United States) had mostly chain or European and Asian import furniture. Prior to finding Refab Wood and the Alexander brothers (Mitch and Paul) we learned a lot about furniture quality and construction. The day we walked in the front door of Refab Wood and spoke with Mitch we never looked elsewhere. Prreviously, we took photos at a major upscale chain for a modern bed frame style we loved. The modern platform bed frame in the design showroom was exactly what we were looking for and we shared our pictures with Mitch. We then sat at a computer, where Mitchell mocked up the dimensions and design and created our own piece with modifications that we loved. We went to the work area and picked our wood and stain which remarkably arrived exactly as we envisioned them. We did the same with our dining room table and guestroom bed frame. Mitchell and Paul Alexander and their team are the real deal, as they say. You couldn't find a group of woodworkers that work harder and have the building history, passion and training for their craft. Refab Wood's design team is made up of young people who are old school in their approach to building and customer service. The Alexander's are third generation furniture builders. A small business, they were patient and helped us create beautiful pieces. Our dining room table and 6 chairs are an absolute work of art! I wake up every morning and say, "good morning table" as I leave my bedroom where the other magnificent piece they built-our bed is located. Both were designed from reclaimed wood from an old barn that was dismantled in Virginia. When I say they are sturdy-I've actually never experienced furniture of this quality (accept old antique pieces that were built by hand). The artwork and design and precision are absolutely priceless. In addition, they built our coffee table and the bed for our guestroom. Whether you like 'farmhouse' style, rustic or modern furniture Refab Wood and their team have the flexibility, design ingenuity and talent to design one of a kind masterpieces to your individual needs. We are so happy we found them! (Note: they also built our coffee table) We're sort of addicted :) as we decided to have them build one more piece - a bar stand for our entryway that we are currently working with Mitch on designing.”

“I discovered Kamiya on Houzz while searching for an artistic occasional table for my new downtown loft apartment. I visited the online store and was thrilled to learn the physical store is located right here in Durham, NC. Yesterday, I dropped by and the furniture is even more beautiful in person. What an amazing shop! I fell in love with the glass bowls melted over teak root, the polished teak wood bowls, and the wood hand sculptures that can sit upright on a dresser or be screwed into a wall to hold scarves/jewelry. Jeremy, one of the owners, was arranging new merchandise and was authenticly helpful without being pushy. The prices also seem reasonable to me.”
