“Over the years I have wandered into Grace, but have always been a little intimidated to do any real shopping there - always figured it was too expensive. In search of a new bed worthy of an adult, I bit the bullet and decided to give Grace a try. What a pleasant surprise! Surprise #1 - I got a fantastic new bed, which truth be told was a little expensive. However, on sale it was totally comparable to other pieces I had seen at bigger retailers and the quality was soooo much better. No buyer's remorse here. Surprise #2 - The salesperson was extremely friendly. Not that I expected to be ignored, but the service was way better that what I expected from a high end Brentwood store that typically caters to people willing to spend a lot more money than I did. Surprise #3 - The BEST delivery service I have ever had. The guys were on time and literally wore gloves while they were meticulously setting up the bed. The worst part of the experience is that the list of new furniture I now covet has grown substantially. Time for a bigger house.”

“We purchased the three piece wave unit in November and installed it in December. Instructions and installation were easy as expected by reading reviews on other sites. The piece itself is beautiful and well crafted. It looks like a very nice piece of modern/rustic mix furniture. The only problem I have now is, the wires are protruding from the speakers and receivers with no realistic way to hide them. I hired an electrician to hide the TV wires behind the wall, but the surround sound speaker wires are cumbersome and unsightly at best. The wires connecting all of the receiving and satellite equipment are also problematic. I should have looked at the pictures closely, because I was sold with the clean design and look in the picture and did not have a realistic expectation. Now, I am searching for compromises. I think we will need to drill multiple holes in the unit to accomplish a cleaner more refined appearance. Wish these units were predrilled for this purpose or had a channel running through the back to connect all three pieces together. I am sure others will experience similar problems.”

“I happened upon Laura Mathews Boutique a couple of weeks ago when I was visiting Balboa. I went back two days in a row. What gems -- the shop and Laura! She is absolutely delightful and her designs really appeal to my eclectic style. She has delicate, etherial pieces as well as bold, jaw dropping, statement pieces. Everywhere I looked I saw things I was attracted to. Do yourself a favor, make time, and go by her shop.”
