“Blikfang is a wonderful concept gallery / antique store located at Auckland's Northcote Point. In addition to selling gorgeous antiques, and staging exhibitions of contemporary art, they also host regular events where artists, writers, curators and designers come and talk about their work. These events are lively and well attended, with a lovely supper laid on afterwards (Sheridan Keith makes the world's best meringues!). Sheridan and Janie are passionate about what they do at Blikfang and this guarantees a special experience for everyone who visits. When I first visited Blikfang last year there was an exhibition of paintings and ceramic sculptures by June Black that captured my imagination and led to several return visits. I ended up buying one of the artist's wall-mounted ceramic characters called "Longbods", which now hangs in pride of place on my dining room wall.”

Communication throughout the process was excellent – particularly the confirmation of the specification. The stool was delivered on-time. The end product was finished to an extremely high quality with the high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail evident in every aspect of the piece. Even the packaging was excellent! Highly professional, but also personable, I would have no hesitation recommending kcimory to anyone. In a world gone crazy – where cheap and unsustainable goods flood into our big shed stores – it was so refreshing to deal with real people making real things that they so obviously care about.”
