“I'm a local designer who has used Jane for numerous jobs including the Charlottesville Design House. She provides quality work at great prices and she is a pleasure to work with. She has completed upholster work, slipcovers, and custom windows for my design projects. I highly recommend her.”

“We entrusted Albemarle Woodworks with slabs of wood from a beloved weeping cherry tree that had to be cut down. We cured the wood for several years and then began looking for artisans who could give the wood new life as furniture for our home. Eric and Shawn surpassed our expectations -- the table and coat racks for our foyer are beautiful. We love the clean and elegant lines combined with solid construction, the care they took to bring out the gorgeous grain, and the incredible attention to detail. They came out to the house, took measurements, helped us determine how the wood could be used, and listened to us throughout the process, all the way down to the type of coat hooks we preferred (bronze with a hint of copper). We plan on another commission soon to have furniture made for our children.”

Newfangled Nana

“The Kelly settee is mine. And it's me! Jennifer made something that was old but a part of my life's history (a photographer's prop settee used for many children) and remade it into a unique, one of a kind piece of art for the front entry to my home. I told her when I first saw her work that every woman would want a piece of her work in their home - that I wanted a piece of her work in my home. It would just be a matter of finding the right room, the right place. I'm so thrilled I found the right place and she made the right piece! She stitched in my personality when she chose the fabric and patterns - traditional and classic with a bit of wildness! The settee itself already screamed "I'm a little different" but now it says "I'm happy with who I am, with the silly me and the soft me." She also went over the top incorporating an old hymnal into the legs of the settee, recognizing the relationship her daughter and I have forged over this past year, doing music together. Knowing "the nana" doesn't change my opinion of her work. I'd recommend her to anyone because I believe in her. She has vision and creativity. She has a determination to do her work with precision and she pours herself into her art. My one regret -- I wanted her to sign the settee! It's not too late. :)”
