“I had been thinking about painting an old jewellery cabinet for years - but I'm not very crafty and inherently lazy. I found Shabby Chic on Houzz totally by accident. I contacted Tara through Houzz and she was prompt in replying. I explained what I wanted done, she offered some suggestions and her quote was very reasonable. She completed the work as promised and I am thrilled with my renewed jewellery cabinet. The only reason I am not giving Tara 5 stars, is that I was frustrated in our communications. All our communications was by email as I never did get her phone number. When I suggested pick-up dates & times, instead she responded with the offer to deliver, but no dates or times which I found frustrating. All's well that ends well, and I would definitely use Shabby Chic again if the need arises.”

“Jeff Collver designed, built and installed a custom wall unit for us. He suggested a modern modular piece using three kinds of wood in an art deco style that perfectly suited our mid-century modern home. He came in on budget, was prompt, pleasant, and completely business like. He is open to consultation and suggestions, and strives to give you exactly what you want. We love the wall unit, which is not only functional but a work of art. He is now doing a follow-up project for us.”

“I have 2 adirondack chairs in clear cedar which I purchased over 25 years ago. They are used 8 months out of the year on Fire Island. They are still strong and fully functional and weathered beautifully without a finish. The hardware has also held up well. The company stands behind its handmade products. P.S. I just ordered a 3rd Royal Adirondack chair. I recommend the company to all my neighbors.”
