“I hired Justin with Defined By Design to remodel our downstairs bathroom. In our initial meeting he convinced me that he was an honest contractor and I put my trust in him. While his initial estimate for completion of the job was 3 to 4 weeks, it did end up being closer to 5 weeks which was still a lot faster than any of the other contractors I spoke with had promised. Justin was a pleasure to work with. He knows his stuff and his sub contractors were punctual, friendly and highly skilled. Everyone who came into our house treated us with respect and that's not always a given. Throughout the construction Justin and I conferred regularly and discussed any and all changes that came up due to unforeseen construction challenges. The result is that we got a beautiful remodeled bathroom with custom touches and personalized style. We could have spent less and we could have spent more but for us, choosing Justin and his team was absolutely the right decision.”

“Josh jumped in to rescue me from a nightmare whole-house remodel for an investment property. After months of contractor battles, broken promises, delayed timelines, poor work quality, and permit and inspection issues, Josh jumped in and saved the day. He was immediately on the phone with the city inspectors until he could get answers and scheduled his sub contractors who came out immediately (often same day). They got the work done as promised, the first time, on time, and were fairly priced. Josh got the permits pulled, met the inspectors on site, and worked with them to come up with a plan to fix this disaster of a project. Honestly without his level head and expertise I would have lost my mind. And now the project is valued significantly higher than it would have to begin with because of the fixes he put into place. I can’t recommend him and his team highly enough. If you’re sick of dealing with dishonest, flaky contractors who do poor work, just save yourself and call Truth!”

“Jay the entire JC Designers Group were fantastic to work with. My husband and I bought a house that needed a lot of work; we were overwhelmed with all of the design possibilities, the decisions that needed to be made, and the potential of managing a large construction project while both working full time. Jay offered us peace of mind. His dedication to this project was unmatched; not only did he have brilliant ideas and suggestions, he also spent every day (sometimes 12 hours or more!) at our house making sure everything was operating smoothly. There are a lot of unforeseen circumstances that come up during the renovation of a 120 year old house; Jay managed through all of them successfully and kept our stress levels low. I now live in my dream house; Jay perfectly captured my design aesthetic and created an extremely functional living space. I get so many compliments on every part of my house, even the smallest details that Jay worked tirelessly to deliver. I would work with JC Designers for any and all home renovation project in the future.”

“Tom (Resort Construction) has done extensive remodeling projects for five years on my house. I would not use anybody else. His workmanship is excellent and he is reliable and honest. His decades of experience and old-school values are apparent in all that he does. Skills include design, creative solutions, and all facets of construction. He thrives though on beautiful finish work (woodworking, railings, trim, and tile). You won't be disappointed.”

“We used Basement Edge (Marty Shelburne and Todd Tretev) for our basement remodel. They were great. We knew that if we put the bathroom where it was plumbed it would be a mistake from a design standpoint and they were the only contractor who said -- yes, you're right and went the extra step to help us put it in the best possible location. We worked with their designer who had great suggestions for wall color, carpet and placement of cabinets, lighting, etc. I'd use them again without question. We did take 3 bids when we started our project and they were not the least expensive but certainly competitive and their advise was invaluable.”

“I hired Innate Design to handle both the design portion and the renovation of my basement, to prepare my house for the arrival of my 1st baby and also the fact that I became a full time remote employee. Whenever there was an issue, Trent always stepped in and fixed it promptly and courteously, and always made me feel like the job was going to be finished. The end result is nothing short of spectacular! The basement looks incredible now and it is my favorite part of the house. I deeply appreciate Trent McDonald who helped me and my wife during this whole process and provided expertise as well as keeping the contractors accountable.”

“We had a very outdated and environmentally unfriendly landscape around the 3acre site of our 1980s southwest run style berm home. Concrete with a very formal ugly brick pattern in front of our south-facing solar energy source, and asphalt paving (UGH!) everywhere else. It made the house hot in summer and ugly. The house also needed an entrance, as there was not an obvious one. Peter Chivers and his crew put together a plan with us to start to " remediate" the site. Peter's taste and ours I think really fit. He designed a fabulous new southwestern entry, even scrounged around and found a very cool old hand hewn beam for the header. There's more work to be done with plants and the landscape, and we'll be working with them again next year. You should know that Peter is a perfectionist and as with the really good people, sometimes things take longer than you think. We didn't push, but if we had I think it would probably be ready for pictures. We'll put some up as soon as we can!”

“Craig is a custom builder with a creative, problem solving mindset. I met Craig after I had purchased one of his homes in Castle Pines Village from its original owner. There were many homes available to choose from at the time, but this home stood out clearly above the rest because of it’s quality and craftsmanship throughout the unique custom design. Craig was able to create an enclave complete with wet bar, full bathroom, a conference room and office area with two private decks and a garage for my bikes. He was able to surgically remove the roof above the existing 4-car garage and build the new addition into the home so that after completion it looked like it was always part of the original house. It was very important for me to work with the builder who created the extraordinary home I chose, but I was even more impressed when I had the opportunity to work with Craig on my addition. He has an excellent reputation among his homeowners and it was easy to understand why. He was highly recommended to me from one of my fellow executives with Harley who also bought one of Craig’s custom homes in the Village. Craig embodies honesty, quality, creativity and value engineering in a personal builder-client relationship that makes building your custom home an enjoyable journey.”
