“With Carpenter Oak you're not just a client, you become part of the family! We turned up unexpectedly at the wrong time for our meeting and were taken under the wing of the carpenters themselves. Mugs of tea, bowls of water for our dogs, humour, a great smell of oak and demonstration of their skill and passion sold Carpenter Oak to us more than any sales presentation could ever do. And a year or more later nothings changed, great on site, flexible with their designs, care for their products passionately and always get back to you. Highly recommended.”

“I am working with Honka on a chalet project in Cornwall and they have been extremely professional throughout the process. 3D visuals and 2D drawings have been produced at all stages and for all changes made so that we have been able to ensure that the building will meet our requirements. Choice of fixtures, fittings and finishes has been made clear and samples have been produced on request. The delivery and building program are on time and, as the cost is fixed, on budget. Excellent!”

“HM Construction built our contemporary, eco friendly home. The build straddled one of the wettest winters on record and the 2020 Covid 19 lock down. Despite this they delivered our home from start to finish within 12 months which was an incredible performance. One of our neighbours who is a builder himself said he had never seen such a professional, hard working team. Phil and Lee, the owners of HM are a delight to work with. They have significant experience is specifying and managing jobs and present very realistic timetables and fair budgets. They also do not inflate prices for extras but work within the spirit of the contract. They keep you well informed throughout the process. Their team, which is a mixture of direct employees and sub-contractors are all delightful. They were very fair with the snagging - and were flexible in working around our plans. I have no hesitation at all about highly recommending HM for any bespoke construction work. The whole experience from start to end was an absolute pleasure.”

“We worked with the guys at Complete Carpentry for one of our landscaping projects in Paignton. They were tasked with building an outdoor garden room for the client, of which they did a superp job. “We first used GH Walters & Son in 2012 when they took on a major project at our home for Disabled Facilities. The work that initially was deemed to be a 6-8 week job turned into 6 months, due to many unforeseen issues with the project, not with the Builder, not helped by me adding various extra jobs along the way, which Mr Walters was very patient about and accommodated me with whatever ideas I had. I am not an easy client to work for, I insist on high standards and do not tolerate poor workmanship. When this first contract came to an end I could not have been more pleased and I knew I would be calling upon this firm for future projects. Since then we have employed GH Walters & Son to do a number of jobs for us, including a new 2nd Bathroom, redecorating our main lounge, dealing with two external gable walls, cladding both, redecorating the whole of our large Bungalow externally, rendering walls, new flashing and tiles on our roof, the list is a long one and even in the case of emergencies they are with us as quickly as they can be sorting any and all issues out. In fact since 2012 there has only been one year when they have not come and done some form of work or another for us, no job is too small, no task too much, in fact they are almost like family now and we would not think about employing anyone else to do work for us. In 2021/22 we are hoping to be able to sign them up to fit a new Kitchen for us and I have no doubt that there will be some other jobs, between now and then, that will need their attention too! I do not hesitate in recommending this Builder he is honest, reliable, fair, patient and professional, traits which these days are hard to find.”
