“We worked with Galen when we built our house and we were extremely happy with the whole process. The project finished on time and on budget, and we felt we had complete visibility throughout. When issues arose during the process, whether related to the building process or coming from us, they were efficiently communicated and the consequences of any decisions were clear to us before we committed. We dropped by the site unannounced frequently, and we always found a full crew working hard, usually supervised by Galen directly. He is clearly committed to getting things done right, and is engaged in making sure that it is. He was also very active in making sure we got the agreed upon quality without breaking our budget - in one case getting a subcontractor to redo some work which he felt was substandard and in another getting us excellent deals for material (in this case flooring) that was normally outside of our price range. We would not hesitate to recommend Galen to anyone, and have in fact done so on several occasions. Should we ever need to engage in another building project, Galen is the first person we'd turn to.”

“We highly recommend Vision Pacific for a high end build in Whistler. Tim and crew were attentive, efficient, honest and transparent with numbers. We felt that they were our partners, not our contractors, as they genuinely cared about the quality of the build, time of delivery and also went out of the way to speak to the muni, neighbours and others to make sure our build was accepted by everyone in all aspects. Tim also spent a lot of hours trying to solve a problem which we didn't anticipate in the land of our build, which he later confessed ran a bit out of hand but had no intention to bill us as he was trying to help, sympathising us as we got stressed by it. A shout out to Tim, Jim and Khan for being really good and nice people to work with, bearing with us on our time difference (from Asia), our frequent requests and changes in specs! I can't believe I am saying this but though project overran in time and money, I will choose them again for my next projects. Definitely one of the best in town.”

“After receiving our bldg. permit we hired Bill McCance to build our garage. Bill was a pleasant surprise in that he listened and did everything we asked for to the smallest detail, with exacting quality. We live offsite, but he faithfully communicated every step with texting and e-mailed pictures. He even took care of dealing with CRD and Islands Trust, the ruling authorities who required inspections. Bill is a hard worker, and highly capable of doing the work, but the one caution would be to take control of your own costing as an owner.”

“We completely gutted our new home in Comox and had it re-done from top to bottom. This renovation included a very large kitchen and family-room with a fireplace, all done in solid maple, quartz counter-tops and large 22x22 tiles throughout. We also re-did all bathrooms (3), added hardwood floors through most rooms in the house (including very large master-bedroom), had all new appliances installed, 2 new staircase, new walk-in closet and had the entire inside of the house painted, including ceilings, doors and window-casings.”
