    “Our house is circa 1890's workers cottage, narrow block with poor access. Prior extension had left us with a space that was both not usable and and poorly built. We wanted the back part of the house removed, rebuilt in an open modern style. Main areas renovated were Kitchen, Dining, Laundry, Bathroom and outdoor area. Swell homes were extremely helpful from the start, very positive approach to our job and a willingness to provide guidance from the outset and for the duration of the job. They were flexible and allowed for alterations along the way. The project and site manager were contactable at all times and we were given regular updates about the current work and upcoming schedules of work. We used cost-plus which suited our job and budget well and would recommended Swell to anyone planning a renovation.”

    “Westcoast Bricklaying PTY LTD has been Associated with Westmade Homes for over 10 years, and in that time we have been engaged to produce varied projects around the state, we also work for various other Builders including Webb &Brown Neaves , so we know what we are talking about !     “We have recently completed building a custom home with Country Builders in Geraldton. We chose to build a custom home design to make the most of the ocean views and to account for my large workshop. As there is only the two of us living in the home, we designed the home especially to meet our needs and suit our lifestyle. I used to work in the building industry and had a good understanding of what to expect. Holding a close relationship with the site supervisor and new home administrator was very important as they provided great communication and addressed issues as soon as they arose. Our plasterer was very good, he was only 40 years old and still using the old school methods for a perfect finish. There is a lot involved in the building process and the team at WA Country Builders provided us with an enjoyable experience.”

From the outset, they were able to provide an architect designed home for our narrow block at the same price point as many of the “cookie cutter” off-the-plan designs we had looked at. The build process itself has been amazing - after hearing so many horror stories about other builders from friends, we have found our build with Refined Edge to be nothing but exciting and fun. Our site manager Ryan has not only seamlessly coordinated the build and ensured every aspect has been of the highest quality, but he has kept us fully abreast of every development along the way and has always dropped everything to meet us on site whenever we have had questions. In addition, he and the team have provided outstanding advice on different options ranging from interior fit-outs to landscaping, all the time working with us to keep the project on budget. The place is nearing completion and looking absolutely incredible - we know we’re soon going to move into an amazing house with nothing but the fondest memories of the build process.”
