“Dave Hepler not only builds a beautiful home, he also does a great job completing repairs to other homes as needed. I have had my real estate license in the area for nearly thirteen years and gone through numerous home inspections. Many of my clients use Dave and Hepler Homes for all types of repairs from new roofs, entire exterior wall replacements, and replacement of entire electrical systems. Dave and his crew work fast, in a clean manner and they are highly efficient, often facilitating a closing to be on time because of their great competence. Hepler Homes also works well with structural engineers where needed and they are always polite and respectful of my clients needs. Pricing is more than fair and again, the work is excellent. “I first met Art Holland on March 15, 2001. I remember because that was the day my cabin at Deep Creek Lake caught fire and burned to the ground. Once we had made the decision to rebuild, calling Art was my first thought. I had admired his building style, using larger diameter logs and his “Yellowstone Log Homes” business was thriving after having built about 100 homes here in the area. We took several months to decide what we wanted and then approached Art. Art’s passion in life is building homes that fulfill his customers’ dreams, and that was apparent to us immediately. I had drawings we had sketched and some ideas about what we wanted, but it was Art who carefully guided us by pointing out alternatives that we hadn’t thought of or different ideas that were cheaper, or easier to accomplish. Some trickier details of the job were artfully built, and the end result was a unique home that we LOVE living in. When we had an unfortunate flood from a frozen pipe just weeks before completion that did $100,000 worth of damage, Art stepped right up to deal with the insurance company and had remediation efforts started immediately. Beyond building a beautiful home for us, Art has helped us maintain the home, and when issues arose, he has always been there for us and provided support more like you’d expect from a friend than a builder. “We hired this company to remodel a bathroom and kitchen, finish an attic bedroom, repaired plaster ceilings, repaired floor in primary bathroom and updated some wiring. They did very good work, the job looks great and I will hire them again. The bathroom was gutted to the studs and started over and redone in a modern design, although the fact that the shower was tiled it was a little expensive, but we love it. I personally did not prefer the mirror that was chosen, but it does work. I had designed the kitchen and the execution of the design is excellent. The door needed to be moved to accomodate the refrigerater and the ceiling needed to be repaired in order to install the cabinets correctly. The attic bedroom looks great, but the option of drywalling instead of paneling was not offered but could have worked out better. The paneling was not secured to all the rafters and has some sagging. They are easy to work with and have good work ethics and strive to satisfy the customer.”

“Shawn Diehl custom built my house in 2008. he started with a demolition of the old cottage and rebuilt the home using the same foundation. He's an excellent framer and installed several extras including hurricane straps, surround sound and ethernet in every room. He understands geothermal systems, and has a long history in the construction field. He also helped us flip a house, remodeling it with a creative second floor addition and new kitchen that came in below budget. His skills keep him in demand without the need of advertising.”
