“Tom Phenicie is a high integrity person, and this is the primary reason I hired him to build my home and every project needed at rental and commercial properties I own. I do not shop on competitive bids for my projects because there really are no competitors to Tom. Materials cost what they do regardless of the contractor so the only difference possible is the person on the job. My primary residence recently appraised at over 1 million, a 60% appreciation in 12 years! Quality that stands the test of time is why Tom is currently estimating a second recreational home in a neighboring state for my wife and I. We will have to pay more due to travel distance and out of state licensing, but frankly Tom is worth it. Cost figures below are for most recent commercial project.”

“Excellent job. Job involved improving existing 24’x 32’ workshop. Adding roof over deck on one side and raising the roof height on lean-to structure to accommodate tractor on the other side. Entire building was resided. Work was accomplished in a professional manner and the worksite was cleaned up at the end of each work day and at the completion of the job. I was kept informed on all aspects of the work. I would recommend this builder.”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Working with Southern Development. The experience of building with them was delightful. How often you can say THAT when you are building a home? From our first meeting, until the final walk through Southern Development Homes went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted and in our budget!! There were no surprises. Even the process of picking out finishings was fun and seamless at the Design Center. They know what they are doing, and you get that vibe when you are around any team member that they are one big family. Big shout out to Nancy and the whole team at SDH…thanks for making building a house fun!”

“Thank goodness we hired MacMillan-Pace. THEY CAN DO EVERYTHING! We wanted our dream home, they built it. Their crews were fantastic. Started house in December and we were in our beautiful home by Thanksgiving. The team helped us with everything from picking out faucets, designing cabinets, finding granite, and picking out paint colors. We wanted a different fireplace, they made it for us. Wanted geothermal, got it. Wanted a complete SMART house, they did it. Their incredible carpenter even made us a bowl from a tree on property as a welcome home gift. If I had to build another house...would definitely use MacMillan-Pace. They are our building family.”
