“modular home. FEMA requirements proved a challenge with some of the house. the set area of the house was unattractive, so the G.C. and a site worker came up with an idea to enhance that area of the home. there was some wiring done incorrectly at the factory, all rectified by the site electrician. as a woman who was on the site daily doing my work on the house, the site workers were always respectful, polite and helpful. if i suggested something or told them something needed to be done, it wasn't an issue to hear it from me instead of the G.C. they all joke about my window with the list of things to be taken care of. everyone at this company has gone above and beyond to make our home perfect.”

“Great company to work with! They built our new 2400 sf home and barn last year. They can design your home and build it to your specifications. Darren does the designing and has a very patient, calm and professional demeanor. He can notice things in your plans that you may not and will discuss possible options for a better layout. Erik has been building homes for years and knows the best subcontractors to get the job done right. Everyone was there when they were supposed to be, any possible cost issues were discussed upfront, materials were high quality. He has a great crew, they were all professional, clean and reliable. They also specialize in energy efficient building, we added a geo-thermal system that is great! They are a certified "aging in place" builder, meaning they can build your home to assist you in your retirement years, wider doorways, easier door handles, no thresholds, however far you want to go with it. We were able to move into our home earlier than the original estimate and the costs were on target. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.”

“In 2013 we began planning our new custom built home. We knew we wanted a very energy efficient house so we decided to go for net zero. Our new house would combine solar panels with a highly efficient structural design resulting in zero energy bills. We knew what style we wanted but we needed a skilled designer/builder to incorporate all the features needed to achieve our goal. After interviewing multiple builders we decided to hire Nick Lehto. Nick was awesome to work with! He completed our home on time, within budget and with outstanding quality. He brought with him a team of incredible workers that were always pleasant and kept the work site neat and organized. We have now been in the house for almost a year and we love our high performance net zero home!”

“It is with pleasure that I write this recommendation for Sweenor Builders Inc who was the general contractor for our custom designed home built in 2008 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. My husband and I had previously built four homes so we were very familiar with the process, pitfalls and possible outcomes. Prior to construction, we interviewed several builders, reviewed their work and discussed with Jeff his perspective of the homeowner’s home building experience using his company. Mr. Sweenor has a stellar reputation with his Rhode Island customers and, also, with his sub contractors. He was by far the most impressive for his home building knowledge regarding materials, energy savings and overall quality of work, as well as his communications skills with his clients. The house we designed was approximately 4,900 square feet and our building cost to Sweenor Construction was approximately $1,000,000.00; costs not included were land, landscaping or appliances. The property where we built our new home is on the Rhode Island coast and in a neighborhood with numerous covenants and building restrictions. The house is a unique design with seven gables and adjoining roofs that presented building challenges; all of which Jeff and his team were well equipped to handle. Every nail, material, restriction was thoroughly discussed with Jeff prior to construction and every contractual spec was met. A detailed contract was executed, but frankly, never looked at since Jeff, as the contractor, met all specifications within our anticipated timeframe for completion; his sole goal was to build a quality home. I would say, of the contractors we used to build our five homes, Jeff was the easiest to work with and delivered the best quality product.”
