He also helped us build a gorgeous barn-beam mantel in the adjoining living room. We used reclaimed wood from an 1809 farmhouse to build a beam that separates the kitchen and living area. It's just amazing. We have done so much to decorate from the pictures I posted (had to meet the deadline). I feel like it belongs in a magazine.
