“Alex and Blake finished our basement to a high spec for a spa and gym area as well as remedial exterior work to our guest cottage. They managed all aspects of the project with creative solutions and to exacting standards of themselves as well as their chosen sub contractors. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Gordon Dixon Construction did an amazing job building a home for us in Stowe, VT. The building experience was very enjoyable and remained on time and within budget. The effort put forth to keep the project moving in an organized and timely manner helped us as the homeowner keep on track with decisions and budget. Their guidance and attention to detail during the process were exceptional and truly evident in the quality and craftsmanship of the home. “Beacon Hill Builders work is excellent and beautiful. And they are fun to work with. I had the pleasure of photographing two of their unique homes in the past three years. One was a complex circular three story design, where curves that are difficult to build were executed to perfection. Both houses have been published in national magazines. I was given all the time and help that I needed, and allowed to suggest views to them. They are very flexible and easy to work with. You will totally enjoy your experience with Beacon Hill Builders”

“This was our first time building a house and we were a bit apprehensive of how stressful and difficult the process would be. Nate and his team were fantastic! We were included as much as we wanted to be, adjustments and design changes were welcome, the entire project was well organized, and any issues or concerns that we had were addressed quickly. Everyone that we worked with was friendly and I've found Nate to be extremely fair in each of the situations that we worked together. We worked primiarily with Jamie and he was excellent at communicating what was going, worked quickly to resolve any problems, and was always friendly, professional and approachable. Even after closing, communication has been easy and open. We love our new home and we're very comfortable with it. If we were ever to build another house, I'd build with Nate and Jamie without a single concern. It was a great experience!”

“After we bought a house in Stowe Vermont in 2011 we hired Patterson and Smith to do extensive renovations for our home, knowing that they had originally built the home in 2000. We extended the house to provide for a new entry and mudroom, and expanded and completely remodeled the master bath. The work was all completed with excellent workmanship, in a timely fashion, and within our allotted budget. Shap Smith was a pleasure to work with, expecially considering our permenant home is St. Thomas, VI, so we could not be present during the construction period. We got updates and pictures regularly, and when we arrived back in Stowe for Christmas everything was complete, working, and clean!”

“Red House was our GC for an eight month gut renovation of an 1840's farmhouse. They were fantastic to work with from the first call to their office thru the finishing touches just after we moved in. They provided ideas and consulted throughout the design process, sharing options for needed products, vendor and retail suggestions. As some items inevitably changed during construction they were understanding and willing to adjust. They ran a very neat construction site and kept the project on time. Chris Quinn oversaw the project from a business/planning perspective, David Matesi was point person on site (and a talented blacksmith!) and worked with Dave, Nate & Arna - a great team all around.”

“February 17, 2019 Finally getting near the end of my North Carolina house build and I just wanted to thank Jim and his Vermont team for building a great product. The quality and fit of the Frame and SIP panels was key in the success of this project. Everyone at Vermont Frames was courteous and very helpful. Jim, Chris and everyone else there never got tired of answering all my questions. I researched a lot of Timber Framers closer to me and VF offered the most comprehensive solution with the least amount of unnecessary drama. I hired one of Jim’s Field Technicians (Jake) to lead my local framers and in four days the frame was up. Jake was one of the hardest workers I had on the job site. He took charge of the raising from the first minute he was there. The precut SIP’s took another week and were easily installed without the need for Jake. So thanks to Vermont Frames for helping my wife and I survive this ambitious dream that started on a mountain top several years ago. Mark and Diane Majcher”

“Shelterwood Construction has been a true pleasure to work with. They enjoy building elegant & meticulous carpentry details at the same time that they want to reach for the highest sustainability targets we know how to design. It is a very rare to find craftspeople who are also eager to build houses that work as truly integrated high performance buildings, but it's a testament to Shelterwood's desire to build houses that are high quality both inside and out. They milled white pine from the project site into beautiful wide plank flooring with the same excitement as they dove into the technical aspects of Passive House energy metrics. We would happily work with them again at the next opportunity.”

“I consulted with Jenny when looking for a vacation home to renovate in Lake Placid NY.. Jenny coordinated time to view the property with my real estate agent Jonathan Gorgas. Her professionalism , interior designs ,dedication and her enthusiasm was appreciated. Jenny"s project photos were in line with my ideal cabin like vision. I did not buy this home. sadly. The next listing needed moderate amount of renovation. Jenny and Cliff, her contractor, walked thru the new listing providing ideas. The walk thru inspection showed it would take too much money to bring the house up to code. Jenny suggested I buy a cabin built by Haas Habitats LLC. The idea was intriguing to me. Her website shows cabin photos that are modern yet cozy. I gave her my budget and she provided a cabin size. The caveat was to find land in the area we could afford. I tried to find land in the area to fit my budget but could not . I decided to stay in Bucks County PA but I will always remember her dedication to helping me find my forever home.”
