“MacLeod D&C just finished rebuilding our house after a fire completely destroyed it. Other than taking longer than predicted, the project was a total success. We love the result. The design was not easy to build - odd angles all over the place and built over a swale that required a complex foundation. It took a lot of care and patience on Ian's part and the skills of several highly competent subcontractors to pull it off. Ian's professionalism, skill, and good humor made the project work - and kept us sane in the process. His ongoing relationships with the architects and his sub contractors kept communications problems to a minimum. We would definitely hire him again.”

“Masaya Homes offers the most beautiful ADU and furniture products in sustainable teak wood. We purchased two of their 10'x12' units and placed them side-by-side. From the outset, the company owners were highly involved in helping us make design decisions and incredibly responsive to all our questions. It was a true collaboration. The design process and the site configuration steps were clearly outlined with renderings that not only helped us envision the final ADU (interior and exterior), but also matched the delivered product exactly. As with any construction project, there are bound to be complications and setbacks. However, how your construction partner handles those issues are the real test of a client-focused and ethical company. Masaya fits that bill perfectly. They are responsive, communicative, and professional. And final construction was incredibly fast once materials arrived on site. The resulting structure is stunning and every aspect of it is more lovely than we could have imagined. We furnished both units with Masaya furniture as well, rounding out the high quality, high-end look and feel of the entire project. We highly recommend Masaya Homes.”

“Matt Hanes and his son Dave did a terrific job on our remodel of a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo in Silverado. Both men were a pleasure to work with. Matt handles the overall supervision of the work and Dave pays close attention to every detail of the project. In addition, Dave is a highly skilled cabinet maker and finish carpenter. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were fully custom and beautifully made...and a very fair price. We were also very pleased with their internal team and the subs with whom they have relationships. On many occasions during the course of our project, both Matt and Dave provided valuable input into the structural and well as the esthetic design elements. The finished product was greatly enhanced as a result of their suggestions. Because we live in the East Bay we were not able to closely supervise their work but every stage was completed on time (or very nearly so), and the quality of their work was exceptional. And (importantly) there were no cost overruns and no billing surprises!”
