His services are professional, friendly and without pressure. His goal was to design us the best use of space. “Kieth has helped us for a number of years with his drafting skills. He is very knowledgeable of construction and understands very well how things are built, this understanding has helped us to come up with solutions that allow me as a contractor to stay on budget as well as resolve project difficulties within budget. He explains the process very well and lays out a realistic time line for clients. He follows through and keeps his word. Keith is a pleasure to work with, his dealings are fair honest and he is a man of his word. I would regard him as the best draftsmen I have ever worked with.”

“Our project with Jeff started with a sketch on a dinner napkin and ended with the house of our dreams. We love the Arts and Crafts style, and wanted to create a home embracing the simplicity and power of that period. But it had to be functional, with a layout designed for retirement years. We got all that, and more. Jeff listened to our needs, and offered numerous solutions to meet those needs. It was a true collaboration every step of the way. “We hired Julie for a "second opinion" on an addition design for our home. The design we had come up with wasn't quite right, and the cost estimate was much higher than we wanted to spend. We told her we were looking for general ideas, and maybe rough concept drawings of a possible new design. She looked at our current plans and photos of our house, and reviewed my comments on the situation. After coming up with several possibilities, she came to our house with her laptop. During the course of a couple hours we were able to work through several scenarios and come up with a new direction that looks better, feels better, and is more in line with our needs and resources. She helped us to hone in on the important issues, and see that it was possible to move in the direction we wanted to go. She kept to the scope of our request for her services, was very helpful, and the cost was reasonable and fair. We were very pleased with her work.”

“Jim Gempeler of GMK is an extremely talented designer. He originally designed a house for us 25 years ago. Then we had him build an addition. The design, flow and process was seamless. He incorporated the beauty of the outdoors throughout. He is very creative and innovative. Yet sensitive to the tastes, preferences and budget of the client. He is versatile as well, creating designs that reflect the culture and natural setting of very different regions of the country. We could not be happier with the result. As a result we have a new house and a lifelong friend.”

“We hired Bruce to design an addition to our 900 square foot lake cottage. He drew plans to change the kitchen to a foyer, add a new kitchen, bathroom, and change a utility closet to a laundry area which also houses the on demand water heater and pump. He also designed a large deck lakeside and a covered porch on the roadside. He included central heating and air conditioning. His complete and detailed plans allowed us to be the general contractors. The end result is even more exciting than we anticipated. We would recommend Bruce to anyone looking for an excellent, thoughtful, flexible, and accommodating architect!”
