“I hired Jeff to develop plans for me on a house I was flipping in west Oakland. He is the best designer/Builder I have worked with. Jeff drew the plans and made everything ready for me to bring to the city for permits, Oakland gave me no problems and accepted his plans with no review saving me time and money. His expertise with design software not only makes for a better finished product, but also moves the process along very quickly. He brought me through the design process with him on (Go to meeting). Where I was able to give feedback and make some input right from my own iPad, pretty cool process. I highly recommend Rexford Design and will be using his services on my next project!”

““I worked with Turkel Design on three projects in upstate New York, which were entirely designed and facilitated remotely via online design tools and screen-share meetings—making the design process smooth and accessible from wherever I was located. I appreciated their systems approach, and how they pushed the boundaries of the systems in order to achieve inspiring spatial conditions. When working with them to design my most recent home, the goal was to be mindful of the environment without sacrificing lifestyle or good design. They helped me achieve this. In fact, one of the homes became NAHB Emerald Certified in New York and was the 2012 recipient of the NAHB Building Systems Councils Best Green Built Home Award.””

“I love this house every single day I'm in it. And some make a credible argument that our detached bedroom, added later, also by their design, is the best part! Inside and out flow seamlessly, which is what our psyches need. Recently we made a rookie mistake. We needed help with big plans for landscaping to be integrative with our big add-on deck. We first turned to a landscape person...FAIL. We so should have turned to Designworks first. We pitched the landscape person's lame 'concept.'; We are building to Designworks plans. (Did i mention they provided valuable consultation that added to the transformation remodel of our Boulder City desert home?)”

“We used Patrick on two projects. We purchased a house and needed floor plans to submit to the county. Patrick worked with our interior designer to get the plans for county review. We were very pleased with our remodel project. We also had an ambitious plan to add a second garage and a funicular (incline elevator) from the new garage to the an upper deck. Patrick performed the conceptual design for the recently completed project. We enjoyed working with Patrick on both projects.”

“Peter Collins exceeded our expectations in a difficult project, that of designing a renovation with 21st century requirements in a nineteenth century house, yet sensitively acknowledging the spirit of the place. All doors were rehung, stones from the original "foundation" were used in an interior wall, original redwood exterior siding was used to panel the library, and original 6x6 joices reworked as exposed beams in a bedroom. Peter and his group were very approachable and performed in a timely manner.”
