“Distinct Building Design (DBD) were one of two companies we contacted to design our new home. We selected them on the basis that they fully understood our requirements for a two-storey, 3-bedroom home which left plenty of room for a back garden. They submitted an initial design which, by and large, is the home we ended up with. The other company, for whatever reason, couldn't/wouldn't do this, insisting on 4 bedrooms, with bedrooms on the ground floor and living upstairs. DBD recommended bathroom and kitchen designers as well as suppliers of tiles and all other hardware as the build progressed. They were very pro-active, with the design, during the construction period. The result was a wonderful home that we are extremely pleased with and would be happy to recommend DBD to other prospective users.”

Our property is in a heritage area and Edward dealt with this in a professional way and managed to get the DA approved without any hiccups. “We engaged Your Home Designs to draw up some building plans for a minor renovation at our home in Maryville. Zoe was a pleasure to deal with, always prompt and thorough, making us feel very comfortable and assured throughout the whole process. She had extensive knowledge of the process involved with Development Applications and her knowledge of building processes from her varied work was a huge plus! Zoe added to our original plans and her forward-thinking meant that we even ended up with an extra covered outdoor entertaining area. “We provided Mark and his team with a real challenge - design a modern 4/5 bedroom Hampton's influenced beach house with pool, multiple garaging, 4 bathrooms and large grassed outdoor area all on a 550 m2 block. They did a fabulous job as can be seen from the photos enabling us to enjoy our weekends away in a large, airy and light filled space with magic views across the bay to the Pacific.”

“I have worked with David and HACK Architecture over the past 12-18 months in a professional capacity and have been really impressed with David and the business! Recently we met with David/HACK to discuss a commercial fit out of our premises. The time taken by David to understand the culture of our business, our staff and our clients and also understanding exactly what we are trying to achieve was breathtaking! Given we had no idea where to start, David made the process feel simple, easy, uncomplicated and took the work off our hands which is really important to us. He quickly understood the culture of our business and understood us & what we were about. This will shine through in the fit out that we're looking at doing. The same day I received a summarised email from David on exactly what we discussed in our initial meeting, what the next steps are for the project and what we need to do to keep it moving. Seriously unbelievable service to date and we're less than a week in! “Olivia has done two projects for us - the first was a addition to my warehouse workspace, creating a studio on a second floor, poking out the top of the roofline to get windows and light into the space. I work here every day and love it. Liv worked with my tight budget and it worked out better than I could have imagined! When we were ready to renovate our house I was really happy to be able to work with Liv again. She asked lots of questions about how we lived and wanted to live, and we talked lots about materials, light, getting sun into a south facing living space, being sensitive to the existing building... Liv again did an amazing job and we still love it so much years later! Pretty much everyone that visits the house says it has a lovely calm, light feel to it. And we feel that too. Liv did a wonderful job and is a talent. I'd highly recommend working with her!”
