“Working with Amy on a small room addition, kitchen plan, and home remodel job could not have been a more positive experience. She worked with us as a partner in figuring out cost-saving ideas, in dealing with code officials, and in communicating our needs to our contractors. My first-hand experience with Laue rhass Architecture far surpassed my expectations. Her knowledge and service are unparalleled. I highly recommend her for any residential new-build or remodel project! Thank you, Amy!”

“After a decade of suffering with a tiny, awkward, and ugly kitchen we called a number of contractors to talk about a major renovation. Several of them looked our 1920s Clintonville house and just never called us back. Some called us back and offered quotes that were 50% of the appraised value of the house. Some just proposed cursory remodels that would have left the basic structure (and ugliness) intact. We were about to give up on the whole thing when Todd came to provide an estimate. Instead of grimacing and wringing his hands, he marched around the house taking measurements, assuring us that he had worked with old walls, electricity, and plumbing before. Instead of sighing and trying to cajole us into diminished expectations, he envisioned an entirely new space. And instead of trying to persuade us to take out a bigger loan, he told us that he thought he could work within our budget. Just about a week later we met with him to take a look at the plans that would demolish the kitchen and dining room, tear down the wall separating the two rooms, construct a new doorway, and entirely relocate all the mechanicals. Only a few weeks later, we were starting the project. There’s no doubt about it: a renovation project that guts the center of your house is a disruption, but Renaissance made it as painless as we could have hoped. We had never done any house remodeling projects before and were very anxious because everyone we knew eagerly told us about their personal disasters or the latest episode of “Holmes on Homes.” Our experience was absolutely different: Todd let us know when he anticipated problems and explained how he would manage them. He hires and uses very talented and conscientious subcontractors with whom he had done business for a long time. We never felt that he had abandoned us to nameless firms, subcontractors, and underlings. When he wasn’t pleased with the work the electricians did, he had them come back and fix it. When an ordered cabinet was too big, he replaced it. He was wonderful at communication: he was always available on email or phone when we had questions. And perhaps best of all, he was imperturbable: discoveries about poor wiring or bad joists that sounded like disasters to us became “no worries” as Todd reassuringly said, “we’ll make it work.” And make it work he did. Only 8 weeks later, we had a dream kitchen of cherry shaker cabinets, granite counters, oak floors, brand new lighting and new appliances. What were once two tiny inconvenient rooms with no lights is now a gorgeous open center room that orchestrates the entire house. Renaissance crafted the original oak in our dining room and living room to blend seamlessly with the new oak in the kitchen. They saved doors and trim from the original built-ins and constructed built-in cabinets; so even though our house looks absolutely modern, it still has its 1920s craftsman style charm. Renaissance turned our drab and ugly space into a showcase: it is the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen. If I thanked you a million times, it would be insufficient”

“Anne Rogers Interiors is a great design group! With over 25 years experience, Anne is creative and willing to work on projects large and small. We have worked with her on both. She is easy to work with; she respects your personal style and in fact, will help you determine what that is! She has an excellent eye for color. I have been certain I like a specific color and she will show me a different one with a very subtle difference that pulls a room together perfectly. Anne and her staff are all very considerate of your time and budget. She is not opposed to you looking for an item at a lower price point if that is your desire. Anne interfaces with contractors and other professionals on your behalf with confidence and competence. We are currently renovating an older home with a general contractor but have hired Anne to help us with design details in that home. She designed the tile layout, trim details and has advised us on many other fine points (including the actual layout of rooms that were being altered). Anne will visit the job site often, along with being the point of contact for skilled craftsmen like trim carpenters and tile installers to ensure the design is carried out. She works tirelessly to help her clients achieve a lovely end result and is adept at keeping them calm throughout what can be a bit of a stressful process. Anne is professional, talented and an all around kind person. I highly recommend Anne Rogers Interiors if you are looking for a designer in the Columbus, Ohio area!”

“I purchased a condo designed by Urban Order and loved the esthetic so much that I had them design a fireplace with shelving and a bench surround. They were a pleasure to work with. The condo is a gut rehab of a former factory. They turned the original architectural features into a space with 18' ceilings, natural light from every angle, and a completely private interior courtyard while preserving many of the existing elements such as wood beams. It is a unique space and a home that I adore living in.”

“We hired Enjoy Co to do the interior of pretty much our entire house. We had just completed an addition. With the exception of several items we picked out and purchased ourselves, Monique outfitted a master bedroom, great room, laundy/mud room, dining room and family room. At our first meeting, we sat down and described the look/feel we wanted. When we met again, we shared "tears" that each of us had gathered. It was clear we were on the same page--she had pulled many of the same tears we had! We wanted the house to be comfortable. We wanted it to be hip, yet kid friendly. She nailed it! Her use of lighting and mirrors made a huge difference in the house. Out of everything Monique provided, I think there was one thing that we weren't wild about. No problem! She exchanged it with something more to our liking. She also designed our 14 yr-old daughter's room. The only instruction our daughter gave was that she wanted the room to be orange and pink. The room was done while our daughter was away at camp. She came home to a room teenage girls dream of. It was a huge hit with our daughter and all of her friends. And, to make it even better, all of the color was done through accessories. When our daughter would inevitably tire of pink and orange, it was easily (and inexpensively) changeable. Not long after Monique completed the project our house was featured in In Style magazine and was on the German Village Haus und Garten Tour.”

“I sold this historic home in 2010 and recommended Baker Designs, LTD to the new owner. He wanted to do a more contemporary style but still compliment the original, i.e. great woodwork, pocket doors, fireplace mantels, staircase etc. Allen did a superb job in meeting the clients expectations for a contemporary style while respecting and highlighting the original detail. It won great accolades from hundreds of tour goers at the Olde Towne Tour of Historic Homes last summer!”

“Kent with Archignition studio is a brilliant designer. He took the time to really get to know what we wanted to accomplish with the project, respected our ideas while gently directing us and showing us new, creative ways to take better advantage of the space without adding one square foot. Plus he made the process enjoyable and exciting. Not only is he excellent at design, but has a great eye for materials and surfaces that are different and give a truly unique character to our home. He prides himself on designing reasonable size, unique homes and spaces and believes that a house not have to be huge and ostentatious. I am related to the architect.”

“Beth and Bart, who comprise the incredibly talented team of Blostein/ Overly, were the perfect choice for our kitchen and master bath renovation project. As we stated in the November 2012 issue of 614 Magazine, the end result was due to a perfect collaboration of our vision, shaped by their skills. The communication between clients and architects was always open and free flowing, which provided our feeling of a true partnership. Blostein/Overly was as invested in our total satisfaction as we were. We could not have been more pleased with every aspect from beginning to completion. We will work with Beth and Bart on any future project that we undertake. They are highly talented and were extremely creative in their approach to realizing our desires. We highly recommend the firm of Blostein/Overly for your next home or business project.”
