“I am a retired Interior Designer and wanted to work with an architect who was up on the latest improvements in HVAC and plumbing. I had a pretty clear idea of the layout of our new house but needed help deciding on a contractor to hire as well as some creative structural details to make our 1800 sq. ft. single level home work for us as we age without looking like an "old folks home". Haven Design was instrumental in helping us select a contractor and we have been very pleased with the results.”

“Troy Philp of Millennium Design designed our whole-house remodel as well as a new garage and mudroom. One of the overall changes we wanted was creating universal accessibility throughout. We are particularly pleased with the roll-in shower Troy designed to replace the Jacuzzi tub. We found Troy to be creative and personable as he helped us decide how best to create big and small livable solutions.”

“We would highly recommend Stig Carlson as an architect for your project because he listens to our ideas, he understands that this will be our home, not just his design. Stig has the unique ability to diffuse a situation where the individuals disagree on a particular issue, to move beyond this point until the two have had an opportunity to discuss their views and then later he will remember to readdress this issue. Stig manages to keep the project moving forward when dealing with county officials who give vague guidelines by requesting specific details of what they will and will not accept. He is an effective advocate for your project and provides an excellent set of drawings for you and your builder to help eliminate unexpected costly and time consuming change orders His kind and gentle manner is well suited for any client, yet strength and knowledge arm him for county regulatory rhetoric. “We first consulted Curt when we were trying to solve a problem with plans for an addition to our home. He efficiently resolved that issue after asking and listening effectively regarding what we were trying to accomplish. In later years we had him design an extensive master bath remodel and then a major whole-home remodel. He and his team are excellent on both straightforward and higher-end building solutions and their attention to both the bigger space issues and the fit-and-finish details are outstanding. Highly professional and great to work with as well and very reasonable in cost.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Jen on the plans for our home addition. She took time to discuss our needs and wants; as well as discover our design preferences - all while working within the scale and lines of our existing home. Jen took that information and came back with three unique approaches. We selected one and refined it as a team. She had excellent ideas regarding room sizes and placement. Now that our addition has been built, we can’t imagine our home without it. It looks as if it was always there. We highly recommend Jen Jones and her work.”

“We used HKP architects for a total remodel of a mid-century house we purchased. It was important for us to keep the integrity of the original home, but update it to fit our needs and life style. HKP did an excellent job of designing the remodel -- providing structural expertise, incorporating our ideas, presenting options in the design and the reuse of original materials, suggesting new materials and finishes, and helping us visualize the completed project ; and of managing the remodel -- managing the contractor, monitoring the budget and timeline, and providing documentation on all decisions. HKP's experience with ways to make our home more energy efficient was also very important to us. The partner and associate who worked directly on our project were so wonderful to work with - - professional, knowledgeable, imaginative, detailed, and delightful. We wouldn't have the "new-old" home we love without them. (Photos of our home are included in HKP architects' home design photos - - "private residence, Mount Vernon".)”

“We hired Mr. Levesque to work with us on designing a major remodel and addition to our home. He was fun and easy to work with, and provided not only a high quality set of drawings, but an enjoyable experience. Our project included a new Kitchen, re purposing the space where the old kitchen was, a ceramics studio and an upstairs one bedroom apartment with full bath and kitchenette. It was important to us that this addition blend seamlessly into the existing home. The end product, fabulously exceeded our expectations, we could not be happier. He was skilled at helping us make informed and practical decisions during the design stage as well as the build stage.
