Brent was patient and guided us through the project and along with his associate James, helped bring our vision to reality. I'm not very good at envisioning a 3-dimensional project such as a house but Brent and James were able to create computer plans where we could remove walls, walk through rooms and alter roofing. He also very expertly guided our project through the historic review process and managed to get approval while we were in the midst of selling our home in PA and weren't really able to participate. His sense of humor and ability to work with our builder and the Historic Resources Commission has resulted in an almost-finished beautiful home!”

Toby does a great job of considering the environment in building a "green" home while also taking into consideration how to incorporate elements such as sun and moonlight into the interior of the home. His use of the many windows, strategically placed, has been a source of pleasure for us as we enjoy beams of sun and moonlight daily. Toby goes above and beyond to ensure the home is structurally sound and to ensure that proper drainage is top of mind. Toby's understanding of modern style is paramount is his design and we were thrilled with the customizations.”

“My husband and I were very fortunate to have Robert Griffin, President of Griffin Architects, PA and Fireside Antiques, Asheville, NC provide us with a home makeover. Mr. Griffin is a well known and respected Asheville architect and designer, very knowledgeable and capable. He is experienced with both multi-million dollar homes and modest homes such as ours. One of the many things that impressed us was Mr. griffin's gracious attitude. Our home was shown the same attention and care as would be given a much larger project. He was consistently respectful and considerate, taking into account our personalities, lifestyle and the pets who share (and sometimes rule!) our home. Our house is eleven years old, and I could never get the interior "right". I knew we needed a lot of help. I had no idea how to bring my vision to life, or even what my vision was. We only had one piece of furniture, bought eleven years ago, that I still liked. I showed Mr. Griffin that piece and said that I wanted the rest of the house to have that modern look and feel. I knew there was a vibe I wanted our home to have but couldn't put in words and certainly had not a clue how to achieve. He nailed it! Working with us every step of the way, he brought my very cloudy vision to life, and on budget, in a timely fashion. Griffin Architects designed a personalized cabinet for TV and my husband's pottery. (He is a potter.) Mr. Griffin was able to see specifically what we needed for TV and pottery, along with a very striking area rug, furniture and art, all designed for our home. And designed with us; we always felt part of the project, our needs always top priority. Fireside Antiques designed beautiful draperies and other soft goods. Almost as important, this creative designer managed to make the project fun! We can honestly say it really was a fun project with a great outcome. We could not be more pleased. Pics are included. “Alice Dodson designed a house for us located on mountain property in Buncombe County, NC, in 2016. We love the house plan she designed for us and recommend her without reservation! She met every deadline she set for herself, often completing ahead of her self-imposed deadlines. She is very creative and extremely meticulous in her designs. She exceeded our expectations based on work we have seen by other architects in this area. She collaborates skillfully and willingly with other building professionals in the process. She has many years of experience and you can see this in her work product. Her fees are fair and she is very easy to discuss fees, deadlines and design decisions with. She is very knowledgeable about all parts of the building process that are not necessarily a part of her architectural design. She is very cost-conscious on behalf of her client--frequently advising us of ways to save money that we had not considered.”

“Last year, we hired Mark Sinsky to design our dream home in Asheville, NC, while we are living in Houston, TX. Mark was very thoughtful about our desires and wishes for our home, while also being respectful of the property we had chosen and how to make the best use of all our spectacular views. We got so much more than architectural drawings and specifications. We appreciate all of the creativity, thought, and heart that he put into the design of our home. It's EXACTLY why we wanted him on our team, especially since we were hundreds of miles away from the construction which began last year. Houzz only gives the option to show the project is over 100k, but you can see from the pictures, the upscale beautiful homes that Mark specifically creates for each individual home, while staying within any budget restraints requested by his clients. As the homeowners, we appreciated his detailed drawings that allowed us to determine where best to use our funds. It was a very pleasant experience working with Mark, and would definitely highly recommend AND use him again in the future!”
