“Sandy did a great job of listening to my husband and my needs, and she designed a great pop top for our Denver Square. There were many hiccups along the way (but what home remodel doesn't have one!) and Sandy went above and beyond in making sure our issues were addressed and fixed. There were many occasions where an issue would arise (foundation wasn't good, we needed more money for framing, etc) and she would provide a solution, and then explain the problem and the solution together. Sometimes the solution had to have more money, but there were occasions where she would figure out how to save us money as well!”

“The architects at TKP have great vision and practical ideas. I had spent months working with another architect to design an addition to our 55-year-old home but nothing clicked. Then Karen Keating looked all through our home, sat down and in a matter of minutes roughly sketched out a plan which included a dining nook, den, office, bath and storage room. I knew we'd found the firm with which we wanted to work. Everyone that we worked with at TKP was respectful of our ideas, and then made them even better. We love our three-year-old, 1000 square foot "new" space. It flows beautifully with the original house.”

“Home renovations are extremely stressful - especially the renovation of a diamond-in-the-rough hundred-year old house in a neighborhood with many fine examples of well-preserved hundred year old houses. I looked at the result of several renovations before hiring Carol - what was obvious in her work was a deep understanding of the technical challenges as well as a love of understated, elegant design and an eye for detail. I made the right choice. Carol's sensitivity, approachability, and unflappable resolve rescued the project. The architectural elements that Carol recommended have drawn admiration in the neighborhood, without overwhelming the original character of the house. Mission accomplished”

“We hired the Hart Studio when we needed an architect to help us with our expansion/remodel plans. While we had a basic idea of what we wanted, Tom Hart really brought the project to life. He listened to what we wanted, asked questions regarding how we wanted to use the space and made sure it would fit in with the existing structure of the house. Tom was extremely easy to work with, creative in his ideas, responsive to our questions, always met deadlines and really guided us through the entire project. Tom did an exceptional job of tying in the old part of the house with the new part so it looked seamless, which was very important to us. It was a big project and could easily have been overwhelming but with Tom's help it was very manageable. We were thrilled with how the project turned out and would highly recommend the Hart Studio. If we ever do another project like this, we would hire Tom Hart and the Hart Studio again, without hesitation.”

“From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Becky listened to all of our input and took all of our wants and needs into consideration. The project came in under budget and ahead of schedule and the crew doing the work were fabulous. We will be using them again on next major project! Our house was built in 1910 and they did a great job of incorporating the character and charm into the project! Couldn't be happier!”

“Lauren Shadid designed the remodel of my home to expand the kitchen and open up the family room, and make use of our space more efficiently. She was very thorough and diligent in her work and was very conscious in keeping within our budget. She works very well with contractors and is always available when she is needed. She was always very response to my questions and concerns. Her background in interior design is a huge bonus as she was very helpful in helping me choose colors and tile. Lauren also helped design my backyard space. We live on sloped lot and she was able to design a pool, jacuzzi, fire pit, and lounge area, whereras before we had a basketball court above the main patio area that was never used. We don't have a finished yard yet, but I can see the transformation and how much more we will enjoy our new space.”

His friendly demeanor and honest approach was pivotal in deciding to work with him. Zev was very organized in his approach and very clear on timeline. He communicated timely and met all deadlines. “I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

“My husband and I hired Doug Walter to design a fairly extensive indoor/outdoor remodel, encompassing about 80% or more of the house. Doug is extremely talented and visionary, knowledgeable and highly respectful and astute about spending money wisely. He meshed well with our desire for quality and style that will stand the test of time. He is also easy to work with and a delightful person. I recently referred him and am very excited to see what he does for our friends' big remodel.”
