“I went to Scott after buying what should have been a tear down in Nashville's historic Belmont area. Knowing the house falls within the Historic District we knew we'd have a number of hurdles to jump to keep in their good graces while at the same time creating a showplace. We faced a number of challenges, not least of which was we had a tiny footprint, we wanted more square footage but we also wanted to respect the neighbors and not "overbuild". Scott listened to what we wanted... then turned his eye to design a house that not only exceeded expectations, but won two national awards from Qualified Remodeler! Scott Wilson Architect, LLC quite deservedly gets HIGH marks all around!!!”

“Michael Goorevich has a rare combination of vision, persistence, and client advocacy. Throughout the process of designing, building, and appointing our new house - and it was our first rodeo - he was able to translate complex ideas and visions into a language and image we could understand. He was able to take our unformed, disorganized ideas and produce a beautiful, modern, functional house that our young family adores. The fact that it came on both beautiful and on budget... we were very, very satisfied.”

“We are completely satisfied with the level of service we received from Home Design Works. Our Tennessee lake home was in need of a face lift and an extensive remodel/addition. Home Design Works had been highly recommended to us by a local builder. They certainly did not disappoint. Matt Lawler took time to completely understand our lifestyle, needs and desires for our home (functionally and aesthetically). Our project presented unique challenges with property setback limitations. His creative architectural ideas, vision and experience were indispensable in making our dream become reality while working within the constraints of our property. We are now living in our recently transformed home and could not be happier with what we have ended up with.”

“I have chosen to work with Fentress Architecture Workshop on a number of occasions, both as a homeowner and contractor. James brings to the table a great deal of experience in both residential and commercial arenas, although my experience has been limited to residential applications. While he is fully capable of creating an independent design vision for a project, he, more importantly, has the ability to LISTEN closely to the desires of the client and allow their own vision to help drive the process. Some architects want to tell you what you want. James wants the final product to reflect your unique personality. Great architect and person.”

“Michael Ward and Kaitlyn Smous of Allard Ward Architects designed our new home and we love it. The process of working with them was absolutely delightful, we continue to be grateful for the experience. They were good listeners, thoughtful problem solvers, creative, respectful of our budget, and very reassuring and responsive during the building process. We built in a neighborhood with historic zoning and Michael Ward was particularly knowledgable about the process of working with the historic commission. While working with them was very professional, designing a home is also very personal. Michael and Kaitlyn made it easy for us because of their great personalities and their unique abilities. We miss them and would love to work with them again.”
