“We had a very complicated kitchen remodel -- our home was built 90 years ago . We wanted to preserve the style from that era while making design/flow more consistent with the efficiencies of present time. Traci D'Alessio did a phenomenal job in meeting this challenge. her thoughtful and meticulous approach, exceptional skills of listening, and genuine interest in our preferences resulted in an award winning kitchen. I would hire her again for any project. I will also mention that we had the added challenge of employing a design/build firm for our contracting/building needs which meant that at times there were conflicts and potential awkwardness with 2 architects involved. When it was necessary and she felt that the product might be compromised, Traci D'Alessio managed these potential conflicts well -- an underappreciated but VERY important skill. Last, Traci has an exceptional command of the most up-to-date technology in her profession. This enables her to make changes with lightning speed (in comparison to the surprisingly archaic methods of many local architects) -- this will save you not only time but money.”

“A main concern with renovating our midcentury modernist home was to maintain the integrity of the home originally designed by the locally renowned architect, James Webb. We definitely got more than be hoped for working with Sophie Piesse. “We hired Steven to draw up a plan for a front porch addition to our house, also including moving an existing outdoor landing inside and redesigning two interior walls. We are thrilled with the result which gives us everything we asked for and is also really eye-catching. Steven was a pleasure to work with and has been very kind in helping us get the project underway. We're building the addition ourselves and we've had many people stop to compliment the project, ask who designed it, and take pictures.”

“Working with Belladomus has been a great pleasure. Their design plans have hugely improved the livability and attractiveness of our home. We especially appreciate their use of natural light to enhance the spaces. We staged our major home improvements in three phases, beginning in 2006 with addition of a screened porch, new decks, breakfast/sun room, and family room renovation. We were so happy with James Morgan's creativity, respect for our budget, and careful attention during construction, that we knew we would continue to use BellaDomus design services. Our next project, a new front porch, and addition to the second story for an enlarged master suite including new bath, was a fantastic improvement to the house. Beth's design talent really showed in her selections of tile, flooring, and fixtures. We are now working with James and Beth on the final stage, with a kitchen/dining room redesign and updates to the entry way, and we are eager to see the plans.”

“We are in our 60s and hired Frank - Designer Plans - because of the high recommendations of a previous client. Having never designed a home before, we had few expectations or knowledge of the processes involved in building a home. It has been several weeks since the first meeting, and to tell you it's been a FUN ride would not do justice to the professional and knowledgeable qualities that Frank brings to every meeting. His obvious exuberance and expertise in his profession are always apparent, with careful questioning and thoughtful listening preceding his genius representation of our ideas - in 3D no less! Though Frank is fluent in all the current tech software, watching him accurately render an idea in pencil -fluently sketching before our eyes- is amazing. With positive feedback for our ideas, he offers suggestions for another way to consider achieving the same results - always with a little more flair. The intellectual Give and Take leaves us feeling that our house will be tremendously improved from our original plans, under the expert guidance of Frank. We know we are working with a brilliant Master Designer and Planner. Five Stars!”

“My wife and I decided to explore a major renovation of our house. Hiring Pethel Designs to help us begin the process was a great decision! Hunter Pethel was extremely creative in different designs and approaches that gave us options to consider to accomplish our goals. We wanted a top quality design and value. We got both. Hunter gave us some more economical options that did not compromise the quality of the final product. With his many years of experience, Hunter introduced us to options we would have never thought of. The experience was outstanding and we would highly recommend Pethel Designs for your next project, whether a renovation or new construction.”

“James S. Collins is perhaps one of the most highly trained professional architects on the east coast. His attention to finite details along with his creative vision are superb! He was delightful to work with from the beginning stages of planning the design for our home until the very end of our project completion. Jim's knowledge of historical architecture surpasses any other architect's in our area and I would highly recommend him for anyone who is interested in building a truly unique and timeless home! When friends, family or colleagues visit our home, they are in awe of the excellent craftsmanship and the thoughtful creativity that seems to have been forgotten over time in new home construction today. In fact, most individuals believe that our new home was renovated from an old historical house in our neighborhood instead of being only five years old! This is the ultimate compliment for Jim because he is so conscientious of all historical details involved in creating a superior and masterful showplace!”
