“I engaged Ashish of “RARA Designz” as designer for home improvement for small area extension in one corner to build prayer/Pooja room. Prior to his site visit, I had a plan in my mind to extend the area in both levels, ground and upper floors. His guidance and recommendation in the very first interaction, using the cost versus usable benefit approach, helped me to decide to go with only ground level improvement. This simple decision had a huge positive impact on right scoping of the project. During the course of detailing of drawings, his providing the drawings as options analysis helped me make choices for specific situations. He provided service in a timely manner, setting the expectations upfront. He provided statement of work, and transparent pricing based on expected hours of work. “Christiane created a design plan for our newly purchased four-story townhouse that transformed it from a blank canvas (all white rooms with very limited furniture) to a beautiful contemporary home. We know what we like, but we needed someone who could help us see how furniture and décor would fit in the space and pull it all together into a modern sophisticated home. We work long hours, so it was a huge help to have Christiane’s design involvement. Christiane found great pieces for the house but also listened to us when we saw things we liked. She was conscious of our budget and very good about showing us options within a variety of price ranges. She was fun to work with and always responsive. “After interviewing several architects to design a home for us in Rockbridge Baths, VA, we chose Candace Smith. She totally fulfilled our expectations. She was an active listener as well as a creative collaborator. She was able to blend our ideas for a home with the skill and knowledge needed to develop building plans. The end result is a stunning as well as functional home overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.
