Traditional Mountain Roost

Flooded with mountain light, this second-floor guest bedroom awaits visitors to this South Carolina home. Ivory walls set an airy feel, while deep taupe moldings and windows painted Sherwin Williams Black Fox add contrast and depth. Smocked draperies in a sea glass blue damask hang from iron rods stretched across wide, light-drenched windows. Woven blinds provide privacy and coordinate with the walnut hues of the ceiling fan above and the walnut-stained hardwood floors below. Bedding of white, slate, taupe and aqua create a soothing palette. Resting at the foot of the bed is a bench covered in beige chenille and accented with bronze nails. A framed watercolor of a sheep with lamb completes the space.
