Traditional First Floor – Chevy Chase, MD

Originally, this sunroom was a somewhat dark and dreary screened-in porch with a low-ceiling. With this remodel, we revealed sycamore members that supported the original sloped roof. We then pieced the bead-board ceiling around the members and suspended a ceiling fan from the center of the structure. The exposed sycamore rafters ended up being the most striking feature of this room. Notice that prominent windows and glass doors allow for a great view of the outdoor garden room.
