Tanglewood Contemporary His & Her Bath

After buying this soft-contemporary home in Tanglewood, the homeowner’s decided to remodel their outdated “His and Hers” Bathrooms. “His” Bathroom has the walk-in shower as well as his own closet, vanity and toilet. The Vanity Cabinets are a dark burnished furniture stain on Cherry wood topped with a Calcutta Marble countertop. The vanity wall is covered in wall to wall mirror with inset vertical lighting left and right of the vanity bowl. The floor in the bathroom is hardwood and flows with the hardwoods throughout the master bedroom. The shower is covered in vertical rectangular cut Calcutta marble tiles with a rain shower head above and a hand-held shower head on an adjustable rod. Her Bathroom features a beautiful soaking tub in front of an offset wall covered in decorative mosaic glass tiles above and Calcutta marble tiles below. The perimeter of the tub wall is lit from behind to create a floating effect. Both the wall and the tub sit at an angle to a wall of glass that looks out onto a private garden. The vanity in Her Bathroom is also a dark burnished stain on cherry wood although it is a wall hung unit with lighting below to continue the floating effect. Her bathroom also features her own private closet and toilet. The flooring in Her Bathroom is Texas Leuter’s Limestone that picks up the natural taupe in the Calcutta marble.
