Square Fluted Tuscan Interior Column

The Tuscan FLUTED column has a classic look dating back to Roman times, characterized by its wide base. It can stand on its own or it can be wrapped around an opening as a casing to give it a sense of elegance. Square columns are a great alternative to the round columns which are more common in modern homes. Square columns are hollow and so therefore not load bearing however they do give the illusion of bearing a great weight. Elite Square Column kits come unassembled and can be installed with or without an existing support post, an existing wall (depending on the widths) or it may stand alone. Our square paint grade columns are also a great add-on to a Wainscoting installation; they can be incorporated into a room where wainscoting is being installed or be used to finish off a wall where it is being applied. The price listed is the cost of one of our Interior Square Tuscan Fluted Column Kits. Each kit includes: 4 - 8ft panels that make up the shaft of the column; 1 architecturally correct Tuscan base; 4 pieces of 3" Georgian crown and banding to create a capital; mounting brackets; tape; and even the MDF glue. Everything you see in the photograph is cut to size. The column is shipped unassembled so that it can be used to wrap a jack post, lolly post or an existing support. The shaft is made up of four sides that go together like a puzzle, using lock mitre joints for easy assembly. All the smaller pieces also require assembly.
