Sarah's Room
A renovation project for a young client
in the oldest building that we have constructed in.
We stripped down this 150-year-old structure to reveal its original insitu floors which inspired the rest of the project.
Keeping as much of the floor open as possible for a child
to play, grow and create we constructed everything
in a single light birch plywood detailed in soft
rounded corners, custom knobs, and handles.
Not only was this a functional requirement
but it defined the aesthetics of the room.
We chose not to have a strong thematic in the built-in furniture as we want the space to
evolve as she grows older.
